We need more muppets on sci-fi tv. Picard season 2 should add several muppet characters. Or at least the Star Trek equivalent of Baby Yoda.

I'll nominate Chakotay as Leader of the Fenris Rangers. And his deputy is Ro Laren (a good way to bring Michelle Forbes back)

There's zero chance the Fenris Rangers would've made it to 2399 if Chakotay were in charge. He'd be asleep at the wheel.

    Not yet.
If the USS Defiant from TOS can end up 100 years in the past of the mirror Universe in Enterprise then who knows where Lorca might end up. TV finds a way.

Chakotay in the Fenris Rangers? I guess that would prove that wood is still a popular material at the turn of the 25th century.

Nine years for an MD? In the current US school system, maybe, but not in other parts of the world even today. In the UK, for instance, you don't have to do a degree before moving onto the MD, you can just go straight into medical school from high school - it is a five year course from there, generally, but my high achieving cousin did hers in four years.

And this is the Federation and the future, of course - we've seen that what today would be advanced university studies are routinely taught at high school level in Star Trek.

Yes, but the thing is that we don't know what he would be like. Mirror Lorca was a very complex guy, he had many prime universe aspects, that's why it was so easy for him to pretend to be from this universe. I mean most MU characters we know would not know how to behave in this Universe. Creating a believable Lorca from this universe would not be an easy task.

What? How would creating a Prime Lorca be any harder than creating a MU Lorca? You know creating characters is what television writers do on like a daily basis, right?

I am talking about creating a believable Lorca, one that would be a natural counterpart to the Lorca we know. Remember that MU Kirk, for example, was arrested the moment he stepped from the transporter pad because he was totally inept in OUR Universe. Lorca was a genius compared to that Kirk. Prime Lorca should reflect that as well.

Not really. Burnham seemed to get through the MU without being detected, even by Emperor Georgiou. Prime Lorca doesn't need to be a genius, he just needs to be a good man, who isn't an expert manipulator.

I never cared for the MU because it was different every time we've seen it. The characters range from cartoonishly evil to just darker versions of what we know. I feel that you can't really compare the TOS MU to the DS9 MU to the ENT MU to the DSC MU. They're all really different thanks to the various groups of writers.

And Ensign Harry Kim should be part of it. The Fenris Rangers' hero ship will need an ensign.

It was always easier for a prime Universe Character to fit in the MU than the reverse. As I said before MU Kirk was completely inept in OUR Universe while Prime Kirk was able to fool almost everyone in the MU. I am guessing that if MU Burnham had moved in OUR universe she would have been spotted pretty quick as well. Her insane ruthlessness would have given her away. That's what makes MU Lorca so unique. He really had a gift. He was able to destroy his ship and everyone but himself and still managed not to get blamed for it and get the exact assignment and crew he wanted. I suspect it wasn't a coincidence if Burnham's prison ship was disabled when and where it was. Lorca was a master of manipulation, unmatched.

Emperor Lorca would have been interesting.

He couldn't have been worse than Georgiou.

Sure he could have. Being the master of manipulation doesn't preclude him from doing horrible things as Emperor.
