Just a guess, but I think the only ones who need to worry about the Borg are Rizzo, Narek and their Romulan goons once they start torturing Hugh.
And he is a Federation citizen. That wont go over well with the Feds. The Romulans are in no shape for a conflict with Starfleet.

Hugh just aided and abetted two fugitives to escape Romulan custody, and was caught alongside a murderer. He's due for a statutory death penalty from the Romulan Free State, regardless of his citizenship. What info they glean from him prior, through various ways, is their business.

I don’t think they use swords. Elnor only does because of the three musketeers. They look like they only have staffs when we see their home.

In the Una McCormack book, it does talk about the order members using staffs/swords like Elnor uses. They are called tan galankhs.

Hugh is Borg. He may well be seen as being disposable.

This. I have a feeling the Federation and the Romulans alike would treat XBs like second-class citizens. If they even treated them like citizens at all. They'd be perceived as "too close" to Synths, whether it's true or not. The less their position makes sense, the more they'll cling to it. As they'll be very resistant to facts.

Poor Sikarians.

So much Voyager stuff in this series, I love it.

Also that reunion scene with Hugh and Picard, damn that was good Trek.

Gorram it, my PVR cut off the ending! Brooding Romulan just set down the box and ran out of the meditation room with Soji chasing him. Was the box a bomb? Did she die? Can someone tell me what I missed?

I wonder if there being chronometric particles detected on the cube will have any relevance to the story?
I was wondering that too. I'm still kind of irritated that the door to Soji's quarters closed before the PA could say where people who were in the affected sections should report to.

They weren't "fugitives", Picard was visiting under a diplomatic flag and Soji was also an authorized resident scientist who escaped a murder attempt.

As for Enlnor, his tendency to murder at the drop of a hat makes me very uncomfortable with the character and Picard really should be, too.

Totally disagree here. Note how she unnecessarily goes into graphic details about Picard's assimilation right in front of him to get him to throw a fit. That and the business with Rios screams coordinated psychological misdirection to me.

Sometimes a show just needs to get exposition across even if the methodology isn't 100% "realistic."

It seems as long as the writers stick in Easter eggs and name drops to past Trek, fans forgive all the illogical writing. Like why would the borg queen need to escape. If surrounded the borg would transfer her program to another construct. That’s why they are a hive collective. If the borg had a device where they can transport 40000 light years they could just transport borg to earth and take over the planet wouldn’t even need to battle

People still have no clue how the Borg queen works. That includes many people who have actually written for Star Trek.
