If I had a transparent screen, maybe I could watch something interesting while Picard was on.

I need to get my moneys worth out of this month long subscription on my opaque TV.

"Money's worth." If you're not liking it then don't keep eating the same dish.

Maybe something (anything!) will happen and it'll get good.

Thanks. Never could get into that show. And I have all of The Brady Bunch on DVD.

Hope you didn't start with Season 1. That's one long bit of early installment weirdness.

Wouldn't want to start now anyway. Subscription is up on the 29.

You could watch TNG through it. :)

I can’t think of another episode that holds a candle to “Sub Rosa”.

Nope. Other episodes don't have a ghost of a chance.

Indeed, as far as ultimate damning critique goes, every other episode gets away Scot free.

    TOS excepted, of course.

Why not have "Non-Transparent Displays" that can still float?

Gundam 00 did that with their floating screens.

From the back side, you can't see the data, and you can't see past the floating windows unless they intended some parts to have transparency.

In the 24th century that has Holodecks and Solid holograms, this should be relatively trivial to do instead of putting everything with transparency all the time.

Unless having Transparent stuff like Windows Vista's Aero UI theme became popular for some reason.
Not everything should be transparent IMO.

There's this little thing called Functional UI design, maybe the VFX artist should have took some more time before putting it in.

Look carefully, only some side parts of the floating windows are transparent, while others are completely opaque and some partially transparent.

The transparent part is annoying. I don't mind some of them being holographic projections by 2399 but they should be opaque like a holodeck character.
