There was though, quite a discussion about the three actors that portrayed young Spock and how much they did or didn't look apropos.

Albeit the discussions took place at Trek Conventions and in Trek Magazines since The Internet was still a wasy off back then.
I have to admit that casting younger/older versions of a character that don't match tends to bug me. I still cant believe Levar Burton grew up to be John Amos.

Yup. Comfort food is generally familiar. Picard is not that.
Yes, it's funny what we choose. DS9 is still my comfort food, and not necessarily because I am watching the lighter, frothier episodes.

One of the reasons I like both Discovery and Picard is that because of its newness, I can experience them along with my son. We can watch them together, critiquing and discussing the episode on more even ground. I don't find them to be "dystopian" or "grittier"--I think they are less so than DS9. They also have a good degree more adventure, which actual helps to balance them out.

Normally I prefer video games but i juts have no desire to play anything but STO right now. I am the opposite i like watching teh sad stuff when im happy
I'm a STO Lifer since day one, but They burned me bad when They put the T6 Classic Enterprise in a lockbox ... the one ship I had been waiting over FIVE years to get. :scream:

I mostly lost interest at that point and only occasionally drop in to see what's going on.
:sigh:

Though I am going to be real I dont like completely serialized TV really at all. i prefer Episodic TV shows with season arcs, so i watch a lot of boomer shows

Thats why i dont PVP, I mostly like the RPG Trek Fansrevice and not the MMO, and I got into the game to late for me to confedntly spend anything

At the very least, the episode should have had Ferengi working at the casino and latinum visible in plain sight.

I suspect that Earth and maybe the entire Federations economic principles have completely collapsed. A weird barter/better yourself system only works as long as everyone goes along with it and the Feds have leverage over those who don't.

And who better to swoop in and profit then the Ferengai? Like natives in a small tribe discovering oil (I'M native I can use the analogy) they're ALL rich now.

I used to NCIS ervy Tuesday night with my mom those were more stable happy times
My wife and I still binge through NCIS from Season 1 on. We also picked up MASH over the years so we do that. Dharma and Greg is a fun sitcom that's on YouTube since it only got a Season 1 DVD release. :(

If you like star trek yes its a Star Trek Fan's dream game and its Free with free update, though PVP is basicly pay to win PVE is were its at
Heck, yes :)

My son watches MASH a fair amount. I don't know how many times I've heard Harry Morgan yell, "Bug out!"
Harry Morgan is the best. Him and Nimoy and Tolkien are my more artistic inspirations.
