When I was a kid I loved to read the Famous Five and other similar mystery stories. They were pretty unrealistic, but they were just grounded enough that they felt like something that with enough imagination, just might be possible. That's something that Batman can do better than most of the other popular heroes.
In the spirit of fairness and amity, I'll allow this. :)

Hockey pads!

My first reaction was yikes but it does seem practical (or maybe tactical is the right word). Like the utility belt looks like it might hold something and the pads seem reasonable. I'm not sure yet, I think it might grow on me a bit but it's not the usual bat silhouette we see.

Same here but I love the tactical look to it so as I see it in action it will probably appeal more. Reminds me a bit of the Robin outfit from the Arkham games.

Then don't worry about. If it had so little impact then who cares? .

Of course they made an impact, otherwise he would not have spent years ranting against the Nolan Bat-films and now Joker. He cannot even keep his story straight, but we all know that he hates the films as they are celebrated by not just superhero fans, but general audiences who appreciate the fantastic that operates within more realistic, mature settings.

It drives him to fits.

I personally preferred the MCU to have stayed at Iron Man level "grounding" and not go too deep into the cosmic nonsense as it has. Having said that I still enjoy it, so I am not joining the Marvel bash-fest either.

The Batsuit is definitely very different from what we've gotten before. I'm not really sure what I think of it yet, I think I'll need to at least see a trailer before I can really make up my mind.
One other thing that stands out to me is how thin and pointy the ears are.

Of course they made an impact,

Yeah, how aping them trashed DC's cinematic reputation. That's the impact it left.

but we all know that he hates the films as they

Ruined the potential of the DCEU. And for a long time made people think CBMs that don't sell out are to be looked down on.

As for that shot, I thought at first that she was a camera woman tracking him for the shot. But it seems more likely she's Catwoman (stunt double).

Looking at the pictures again and of the chest logo, I'm wondering if it's supposed to be more of a bat face at the center of it.

I would love for DC (or Marvel) to find a way to get a film made by these "mega fans". The studio just has to say "we will lose...or not". Then let these guys write, approve designs, approve script, etc. Then advertise the shit out of the movie as fan approved... let the guys who made it post whatever they want on social media.

If the movie makes money great. If it flops then all of these fans who want the movie their way will just need to shut up.

Yes, this is a rant and not an actual idea.
