Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

The 2nd and 3rd circled ships from the left appear to be some variety of Bird of Prey.

 

I believe that settles it. It looks like the Narada had both.

 

I think those were meant to be just funny easter eggs like R2-D2 and Millennium Falcon, not something to be taken seriously.

R2-D2 and a Millennium Falcon, yes. But how is a T'Planna Hath or Bird of Prey funny?

 

They're just in jokes for fans. T'Planna Hath in particular wouldn't make any sense being there. (Not that much in that film did.)

Yeah, the Narada was enormous but not THAT enormous. The TOS Bird-of-Prey is a good 150 or so meters long. That would mean the Narada was closer in size to the V'Ger ship and as big as she is in the movie - she's not anywhere close to that big.

 

They're Nero's Eaglemoss collection.

They're Ent-era Bird of Prey's. The nacelles give it away.

 

That's why he's pissed. The bulk of his collection was on Romulus. In mint condition!!!!!!

 

As everyone says over and over in the Discoprise thread, was the size of the BoP ever established on-screen? Because it's probably as flexible as the Klingon version. The 1977 (and entirely unofficial) blueprints by the late Michael McMaster put the size as 68m.
