I think those were meant to be just funny easter eggs like R2-D2 and Millennium Falcon, not something to be taken seriously.
They're just in jokes for fans. T'Planna Hath in particular wouldn't make any sense being there. (Not that much in that film did.)

Yeah, the Narada was enormous but not THAT enormous. The TOS Bird-of-Prey is a good 150 or so meters long. That would mean the Narada was closer in size to the V'Ger ship and as big as she is in the movie - she's not anywhere close to that big.
As everyone says over and over in the Discoprise thread, was the size of the BoP ever established on-screen? Because it's probably as flexible as the Klingon version. The 1977 (and entirely unofficial) blueprints by the late Michael McMaster put the size as 68m.
