Spoilers Zhat Vash and Vulcans/Romulans

If the Zhat Vash is thousands of years old as stated, that makes it ultimately a pre-Surak Vulcan organization, since Romulus was only colonized in the 4th century CE.

For this reason, I'm wondering whether Commodore Oh is in fact a Vulcan allied with this ancient group perhaps now dominated by Romulans.

Or if the Vulcans and Romulans split about 2000 years ago and the Zhat Vash is thousands of years old, the perhaps they were formed very soon after the split. There's a lot of rounding going on (and some of the "facts" coming from legend, no less), so anything is possible.

IIRC, they said "thousands upon thousands," which definitely suggests more than two. So assuming the writers did their homework about when the schism took place, then this is what I'm thinking...there'd be Vulcans who are in on it as well.

Based on Chabon's background and stated relationship with TOS etc, I am assuming a relatively canonical knowledge of Trek lore.

And now with the schizophrenic ex Borg Romulan anthropologist/mythology maven, that's where I think this season might be headed. The fact that the biological android is the "Destroyer" could be tied in to some ancient Vulcan/Romulan history.
