Spoilers The Dr. Agnes Jurati Thread

Pill is 34 and could play plus or minus a few years. Maddox disappeared after the incident on Mars. "After" leaves some wiggle room to suggest it doesn't have to be the year of the Mars attack. Agnes could have very well been 22 and straight out of the Academy and recruited to Daystrom or recruited from the Academy itself.

Judging by other streaming series, and the way time will probably pass on Picard with one episode taking place right after the other, I'd say all three or four seasons could take place in 2399. By which point, Pill would be 37 at the end of it... and who can tell the difference between 34 and 37 anyway? The true answer: No one.

I'm guessing Jurati was a whiz-kid, finished the Academy or wherever she want to college in three years, and maybe might've even skipped a grade or two in primary or secondary school. So she was probably in her early-20s when she started working with Maddox. Either as an intern, as her first job out of college, or as a grad student.

Maybe all three. She could've started as an intern and then he hired her to work for him while she went to grad school to get her Master's Degree to qualify for a higher position, and the job could've doubled as part of her graduate study.

Being on a first name basis is itself not sufficient enough proof of a romantic relationship.
Yes. Seven addressed Picard by his last name in the trailer, yet people were instantly shipping them too. It is basically enough if a man and woman are mentioned in the same scene.

... or even just walk into the same room and then leave...

I like the character a lot and what she is doing. She adds lightness to the proceedings. Kind of more well-adjusted Tilly. Making her a synch seems to predictable. Pill is a actor who is often in demand so I could see her being killed off at some point. My other theory is she is main villain of entire story. Maddox is actually dead and not missing and she killed him. Maybe Romulan undercover via surgery. Or she grew up on the Enterprise as a kid. I recall awhile back their was talk of one of the characters having spent time on the Enterprise-D back in the day.

Jesus---I just noticed we had the same thought.......I must get to a doctor!

Yeah I'm getting allot of overlap with the Tilly character.
Although unlike Tilly she seems (as you describe) more well adjusted, at least to her line of work/specialty. Yet by placing her among this crew of misfits and adventure, seems like she'll be (by intention) played out of her element and sorts, and almost naive, overwhelming enthusiasm, and excitement toward it all.
Which again brings her back to reading like another Tilly

There is someone in the CBS all access writing room or casting, that really wants this character type to be a thing. I can only imagine it's someone who looks and acts allot like Tilly/Agness and really wants to see herself on Trek! :p Cause here she is again!

Although don't know that playing her as the surprise villain some are apparently anticipating, is the solution. LOL!

Maybe the ramifications of this will take her in a different direction...
Piecing these disparate stills together, you can tell the one doing the mind-meld has the yellow collar ....

And we now know the Romulan/Vulcan with the yellow collar is.... !

Don't know that/if Romulans can do mind-melds?) Yet do the math ^ here.
This is where they are going with the Agness character.

The jury's still out on whether Oh is a Romulan or a Vulcan ally (she's described as an ally). I like the thought that, like V'Las centuries before, she's a Vulcan spy for the Romulans. Yeah, she shows emotions, but so do tons of Vulcans in all the shows. Maybe she doesn't like stifling her emotions, and her position as an ally of the Zhat Vash affords her the capability to let loose every once-in-a-while.

So if she's a Vulcan, even a Vulcan kidnapped from birth, she should be capable of mind melds without diluting the possibility that Romulans can't do them.

And, of course, a Vulcan capable of doing evil mind melds is likely to have made Dr. Jurati her newest asset on La Sirena.

I don't think she's going to be the main villain or anything of the sort, but I'm sure she's hiding something. I think you might be right about her growing up on the Enterprise though. Mostly because of this scene from episode 2:

Her picking Earl Grey, and Picard saying "I knew there was something about you". Potentially, she doesn't want to mention this, and hopes he'll remember her, so is only offering hints. I think she also knows more than is letting on, and still doesn't know exactly how far she can trust Picard with that information just yet.

I also vaguely remember hearing a mention about her being from Picard's past in some way, but can't remember where. I didn't think there was actual mention of her growing up there, just speculation that that's what she meant.

Agnes is 100% spying on behalf of Oh/Starfleet Intelligence/the Tal Shiar at the end. We don't see anything that happens with her after Oh shows up at Daystrom, and then she just appears conveniently to save Picard from a Romulan hit squad that came out of nowhere.

I believed her when she said she's a bad liar, and I further believe that she didn't tell Oh she was joining Picard's mission...because Oh told her to do that. The whole attack on the chateau was staged to get Agnes in.

Why? All she really would have needed to do is show up and say "I want to go, take me with you," and he would have.

Regarding Jurati being more well-adjusted than Tilly, we should remember that Tilly is very young, while Jurati is in her 30s. She'd almost certainly be better adjusted than Tilly on just the age difference alone.

Possible clue to Agnes being from the Enterprise-D... I don't think it's a coincidence the 'CAPTAIN PICARD DAY' banner was in the archives.

Or an exec saw that Tilly really worked on DSC, and executive meddled Jurati into being.

A trailer from December shows, who I assume is Commodore Oh, about to preform a Mind Meld on her
picard-20191220-trailer-00008.png

Interesting, although we've had the image released for a while from the teaser trailers of what could be Oh doing the mind-meld.
As the scene actually plays out, we don't see it.
(I guess ...yet)
But yeah the whole seen as she convinces Picard to take her with, felt like she wasn't telling the whole truth.

Also Raffi (although she's straight paranoid junkie) totally reads her.
