Vague hints at the possibility of "Firefly" revival, maybe wishful thinking...

The writers continued it in a comic series.

JMS has stated in the script books this is not true. Only two episodes from season five were shifted to season four.

The second half is extremely important.

Only to fans. It's just a TV show - now an old one.

Yeah, well, of course. I don't think anyone would even get to season two or three if they weren't a fan. And as such, the second half of season five is extremely important to the story.

But the second half of season 5 couldn't be that important because they still used the series finale from the 4th season. :nyah:

I really enjoyed seasons 2-3 and about 8 episodes of 4. The Shadow War ended WAY too abruptly. Then the Earth stuff wasn't as good and felt like it dragged on.

If it were still on Amazon I'd watch season 5, if hey gave me warning I would have watched the finale as season 5 isn't needed viewing for the finale.

yeah that was a victim of whether the show as going to get 5th season as the original plan had it carrying over past s4.

The final suffers because of the complete disconnect from S5.

Other people say that's not the case. But I watched the first episode of season 5 and didn't like the feel. Don't like the new commander or the fact they got rid of Delenn's aide without seeing him.

'Intersections in Real Time' would have been the season four finale if things went how they were supposed to. The Shadow War ending was not impacted by the two episode shift.

Even S4 has it's big problems, like how Garibaldi's turn was a cop-out and that moronic "Earth blown back to the Medieval Age" stuff in finale.

Yeah I had with how that was handled. Like the show feels very well planned out, except for that. It worked out okay-ish, not horrid, but not great.

I'm okay with the medieval thing if it wasn't so obvious, plus that was a 5th season produced episode. I could see that to a point if it was 10,000 years or something.

Yeah that seems to be the one thing everyone agrees on, that the Shadow War ended how it was supposed to. I figured 2-3 more episodes but not, just over like that.

but the one that started as a comic, was a complete five year plan mapped out, never gets continued or finished or even explained. It's such a shame. That was my favorite new Space Opera of the last 10 years. Firefly has nothing on Dark Matter.

I'm not a comic book person. I keep meaning to read the Avatar/ Korra ones.

More so I don't think the comic books could capture the crazy of the show.

That makes two of us. Just as soon as I can afford the DVD's.

Are there three seasons or four?

I think Dark Matter is on Netflix. I keep meaning to check out the comic to see how the story is supposed to end.

The comic was only a 4 issue miniseries that approximates the beginning of the show, if I'm not mistaken. I do not believe the ending has ever been chronicled.
