They said they do not want this to be TNG 2.0. Yet they will show most of the TNG fellas which is fine, because they belong to Picards Starfleet family. But I think he is going to see them because of reasons not because he wants to reunite with everybody. The producers know what the Enterprise means to us Trekkies, but there has to be a real good purpose to bring an Enterprise to the show. I would love to see the F, of course. And hopefully it is a new and beautiful design not the STO version. But I do not expect to see her. They could instead do a new show set in the same time period with the Enterprise-F, but let Picard do his own thing without Starfleet.
it will end with Admiral Janeway popping up on a viewscreen telling Picard to surrender himself. As the camera pulls back we see her flanked by Chancellor Worf, Nagus Rom and Legate Macet. The Galaxy ( or at least the AQ) are out for Picard's head.
That would be the E as the F has not been built yet if we go by canon sources. Shame the show wasn't set a bit later would be nice to get to know the F but that will not be commissioned until 2409. Interesting to note that Data was offered the command first but it is from Star Trek Online, is considered non canon and we do not really know how close any Star Trek TV show will align with it if at all, especially as it would give away that Data either didn't die or will be brought back. They could diverge from STO and have the F appear sooner due to events, it would certainly help in the merchandising department. It must also be said that whatever we do see in Picard automatically becomes canon from then on, will be interesting to see if they try to avoid anything to do with STO using the decade in-between as a buffer or override it. I do like the design of the Odyssey class but officially the E is still in service but it is over 30 years old by 2399. P.S The Excelsior is a superb design/platform as shown by how long its ships stay in service and relevant.
There’s nothing really canon about the status of the Enterprise other than that the E was still active as of the end of Star Trek: Nemesis.
I reckon it'll end with Picard near death, and then we hear the voice of Q. Cut to black, find out next year.
It's not about the cliffhanger. It's about the assumption that it will be a carbon copy of another cliffhanger. Gee, maybe Picard will be assimilated by the Synths, and the season will end with him saying: "I am, Sutucol of Synth. Opposition to us is pointless. Your lives as you have known them are over. From this time forward, you will service... Maddox!", at which point beardy old Riker swoops in on the holographic/dream Enterprise D and says "Deanna.... Fire!"
The third kelvin flick blew up the enterprise, as did TSFS. Pretty?! “Ramming speed” would be more appropate given the enterprise crashes every time Troi takes the conn.
Only 13 episodes and I believe it is available streaming. It is a fairly decent sci-fi/western that has some good humor in the mix. EDIT: It is on HULU here in the US.
It ends with Control being behind everything. A remnant was left behind at the end of Disco S2, and it's just started to reassert itself in the past 15 years or so. Struggle is pointless...
Riker was able to salvage Enterprise-D saucer from Veridian III before he retired and it has been going reconstruction last ten years or so. After Picard gets into trouble, he’ll hijack it together with Worf and will come to Picards rescue. His opening hail will be, “I told you I always wanted to sit in this chair”
Someone with photoshop skills should put the saucer on blocks, in front of a trailer with the Riker's on the front porch.
Seeing the Enterprise arrive as a cliffhanger at the end of S1 is too similar to Discovery S1 finale.
And Troi accidentally steps on the accelerator instead of the pressing the fire button and crashes the ship.
