I was wondering when the Enterprise would appear in the series, and completely to my surprise, it was in the opening shots, albeit in dream form. I thought they’d have dragged that out for a while.

We know Riker and Troi are in it, and 7of9. And Data, and B4.

Discovery ended it’s first season with Pike’s Enterprise to keep us interested. What big treat can they drop at the end of Picard?

The Enterprise again? Kirk? Q? Borg Queen? Lore?

Something from left field, with a WTF factor to consume the series gap? It would have to something big, like Quinto Spock appearing out of nowhere.

    Rampant speculation anyone?

Solid ending. Something a lot of arc based shows struggle to do.

Here’s what I would like. In TNG, the Enterprise-D was the hero ship. In STP, the hero ship is the La Sirena. I want the new Enterprise (the F, and not the F from STO) to be this show’s anti-hero ship. I want it to look evil, commanded by an evil asshole, whose job it is to track Picard and the La Sirena down. I want people to hate the Enterprise-F as much as we all hated the Excelsior in STIII.

I loved the Excelsior the moment I saw it. I’m sure I was supposed to side with Scotty, but it was so sleek, and stylish. It’s bridge, so bright and flashy. I think I was ten at the time.

It would be refreshing for the Enterprise to play the bad guy ship for a change, but if they did that, I’d expect the same level of reverence and respect for it as any of the others.

I liked the Excelsior too. But it was clearly meant to be a contrast to the Enterprise, and not in a positive way.

As for reverence of the name Enterprise, I get that. I would just like them to do something different and unexpected.

This would be the only reason to have Worf in the show, maybe have his family killed in the Synth attack. Captaining the Enterprise with orders to bring Picard back.

I don’t quite see Worf as an evil asshole who doesn’t like Picard and wants him captured.

It ends with Picard and crew arriving at their next destination.

    Which is.

Yeah. I can’t see worf abandoning his loyalty to Picard, or being in position where he’d have to.

Slight tangent. I hope Worf’s Klingon longevity isn’t forgotten when he does appear.

My speculation is that the other android is an evil twin and this Romulan guy isn't as bad as he might seem.

Why do Trek fans grasp on to patterns so much?

"TMP was about a giant ship that was going to destroy the Earth, so was ST'09; TWOK was about Khan and vengeance, so was STiD; therefore the third Kelvinverse movie will be about searching for Spock, and the fourth movie will involve time travel."

"Discovery ended S1 with the Enterprise, therefore Picard will end Season I with the Enterprise. S2 of Picard will therefore send him into the 32nd century."

They got "When are we going to see the Enterprise?" out of the way right from the very first scene. They're not going to show us the F. They're not even going to show us the E (except as an obscured model in the deep background of Picard's storage room). They're going to stick with the D.

I think we'll keep seeing it whenever Picard has a dream. It seems like they want to establish The Enterprise (doesn't matter which letter) as something in the past, at least as far as this series is concerned. So they won't show the one that's currently in service, whether it's the E or F.

I think it’s possible we’ll see the Enterprise currently in service, but probably not until next season at least

Why do you want a Trek rehash of Firefly?

I’ve never seen Firefly so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I mean...considering that just about every season of Star Trek after The Best of Both Worlds ended as a cliffhanger, it's not too great a leap to assume Picard will do the same thing.

Seriously, every single fan would scream if this happened. As I've stated many times about Picard, while the show is in the unique position to bring on characters and settings from TNG, DS9, and Voyager (the non-Delta quadrant settings, of course), that's not what this show should be. I don't want this to just be a platform to bring in legacy characters just because it can. If Picard were to go to DS9, for example, it has to make complete logical sense.

But I'm willing to bet someone will at least namedrop it sometime this season. :luvlove:
