I tried as well, but after twenty minutes I asked myself: 'Do I really want to watch another 100 minutes of this, or would I rather finally watch the new Shaft?' It was a good decision.

Got to watch it for free, which is good, because I'd really have hated knowing to have paid for the ticket. I didn't even actively dislike it, I just didn't care.

  2. i watched a two and a half hour art-installation in 2d today... it was great.

Yah I have an unlimited card at Cineworld so didn't pay for it either thankfully. It was just... bad. There were two parts I laughed at how ridiculous it was (a certain sabre catch and rising of something out of water...!) and I'm just relieved that I didn't part with money for it.

This afternooon I started watching Free Enterprise for the second time, but I just can't get into it. In the bin.

Now I'm rewatching the Lake House for the umpteenth time. :o

    2016's Ghostbusters.

I know I'm probably setting myself up for ridicule here, but... I enjoyed it. Sure, it wasn't Citizen Kane or whatever, but it wasn't trying to be, any more than any other summer popcorn movie is trying to be. (And the original Ghostbusters certainly wasn't, either.) I had some laughs, and was entertained. I certainly don't see why it has earned some kind of reputation as the anti-Christ of movies or what have you.

Of course, as I have said before, I am very easy to please when it comes to movies, so take that as you will.

The Gene Krupa Story. 1959 starring Sal Mineo, co-starring James Darren and Susan Oliver. Also with Celia Lovsky and Yvonne Craig
Watched it for Sal Mineo and the drums, but got the added bonus of Vic Fontaine, Vina, T'Pau, and Marta.

I really like that movie and have no shame in that! Pretty sure that whilst some people that don't like it have very valid reasons (we all do when we don't like a movie, I'm sure) that a lot of people were just on the 'oMg WoMeN gHoStBuStErS NOOO' bandwagon to give it the reputation it does. It's just a fun movie, that's all it was meant to be and it is.

We got the whole series of the Six Million Dollar Man. So we have been watching that as well as the Space 1999.

Watched 'Dolemite Is My Name', which is a very good movie about the making of an intentionally bad movie.

Also watched 'Thunder of Gigantic Serpent', aka 'Terror Serpent', which is a very, very bad movie, indeed.

My little granddaughter was visiting for the holidays. Because of that, Papa (me) watched Monsters Inc, Monsters University and Secret Lives of Pets over and over and over and over again..... (and over and over and over....) ;)

Flesh and Blood. What a debauched yet engrossing movie. What else could you expect from Paul Verhoeven.

    A double feature:

Charlie's Angels (2000 version) which I saw years ago but didn't remember one minute of it so it was like new. And Charlie's Angels Full Throttle which I've never seen before so it was new.

Yeah. If any movie didn't need a sequel, it was Independence Day. I loved the first one (particularly the soundtrack), but the second one, while having some good things in it, was unecessary.
