This one is simple. Any everyday items, technologies, or activities that were commonplace 30 or 40 years ago but are now obsolete or rapidly becoming so.

You may enter up to 2 avatars. Usual rules: maximum dimensions 200 x 200 pixels, maximum file size 1 MB, no media images.

I'll start the ball rolling with these two:

Manual car transmission (applies in the U.S. only!)

Loading film into a 35mm camera

Going to dig up my audio cassette boxes I only saved my music I made and recorded so out of over 1000 plus I now have about 400 to 500. Gimme some time for this they're in deep storage and I need to think how to present them but I got dibbs on audio cassette tapes as my first image.. I don't know should I include the player ? I will figure this out..

Not really a technology or an activity, but I'll allow it (as long as it's not an image from movies, television or other entertainment media). Hey, we just do this for fun anyway, right?

Still plenty of avatar ideas. Typewriters, anyone? How about full-service gas stations?

Putting aside for a moment the judging and policing of women's bodies inherent in the entry... according to Google, the image *is* from a movie: 1963's Charade.

In that case, I'll have to disallow it. (Don't know why I didn't recognize Audrey Hepburn! :alienblush: )

@ pl1ngpl0ng: Sorry about that. You might want to choose an image a bit more in keeping with the spirit of the contest.
