Welcome! I started rewatching them all at the 50th anniversary 3 years ago, and feel kinda empty now that I'm done. Remembered most of TNG and DS9 (which I had seen several times over the years), but I hadn't seen VOY in ~15 years and it was funny how many episodes I had forgotten about XD. Saw the few remaining TOS S3 episodes I hadn't seen yet and most TAS episodes for the first time, so I've finally seen them all, and it was so worth it!

I guess I'm watching more Enterprise at this time, but my favorite is still TOS. I started watching TOS during its original broadcast in the late sixties, and have probably seen every episode about 50 times. I'm mostly a tech-head, so, most of my posts are about trek technobabble things (or just funny thoughts).

Hi NCC-73515! Nice to make your acquaintance! I’ve never seen the animated series before. I’ll have to check into where I can stream it from, I know Netflix has most of the series... DS9 is probably my favorite, followed closely by TOS. I love the conflict and the character development of DS9 and I thought it ended well, which is really tricky for a show to do. I’m starting over again with TOS so I can watch it from the beginning. I just finished the 4th episode, so I have a ways to go

That is impressive! There are things I remember about TOS from reruns as a kid... did you ever see the Thanksgiving marathon of Star Trek on tv? The one where the turkey flies by to the theme song instead of the enterprise? Not sure if that was regional or national but it was hilarious. The TOS episodes were so dramatic and now that I’m rewatching them I realize they were even a bit scary... kind of like The Twilight Zone in space. So far I’m really enjoying it.

Thanks Rredmond !! What aspect of Star Trek are you most drawn to? Some people get really into the tech stuff, or the exploration and adventure of it, the morality issues within or the close/not so close science behind it...for me it was definitely a tie between the science and the adventure. Part of the fun of TOS was watching the crew encounter all these new and random planets and alien cultures, discovering and experiencing something totally unique. Made starting third grade (about 30 years ago) not seem as daunting by comparison, lol. My dad was really into the show, and he got me into it. For him it was all about the possibility- what could be one day... what the show represented is almost better then the show itself. What do you think?

What aspect of Star Trek are you most drawn to?

As a TOS fan myself, and a social worker I guess , I like the relationships. I enjoy watching the main three (as well as the rest of the crew) interact and protect each other. The stories are good, and (again being a social worker) the morality of it all is very important to me, but the friendships, both working and personal, are what bring me back to the show time after time. I really enjoyed the stories, but there were episodes others though weak, that I still enjoyed due to the characters. Besides TOS, TNG is only Trek I've seen the whole run of, and for similar reasons. I think TNG had some of the greatest season enders, and the best series ender I may have ever seen. Thanks for the question, and again welcome!!!

Oops, I somehow forgot about posting something in this thread as well... I'm still trying to find my way around this huge board - learning by doing, as they say.

So yeah. I guess most people have deduced by now that I'm a TNG fan and generally rather fond of Sir Patrick Stewart and Jean-Luc Picard. I like weird episodes - therefore yay for the first two TNG seasons - and have a thing for stuff that remains unexplained and unresolved because I adore making up my own headcanon. I used to be a rather enthusiastic JLP-centric fanfic writer, but have retired from it (for now). I have seen all Trek series in their entirety (except TAS), but TNG is the one special series for me.

Unlike most Trekkies I did not grow up with Star Trek, it took until I was 18 for me to be nagged into watching a TNG episode by my then-boyfriend. I had - and still have - very little interest in sci-fi as a genre and it took him weeks to convince me to watch because I didn't care about "the bald dude in pajamas". I guess I've changed my mind on that one by now.

Anyways. Hi! And if you want to know something, just ask. I'm always happy to answer questions.

So, hi! I'm Kylie. Ah I'm 31 and watched Trek since I was a little one. From the UK, started conventions a few years ago and going to the Vegas one next year for the second time.

Voyager is my favourite of the treks yet it's DS9 I tend to do the most rewatches of (and I don't care, I love the dumb 'Move Along Home' episode so much okay). First Contact is my favourite movie of all time in general.

I have pretty bad anxiety and depression, and was spurred on to find a place with more people like myself, Trek fans, out there to try to get to know more people and occupy my mind more. As well as Trek I love pretty much anything Robert Carlyle touches and does, most kinds of music, animals (especially Dogs and Goats) and gaming.

I also ramble a lot so Imma stop now, say hi again and hopefully get to know y'all!

Expanse are this separate little stories slowly coming together and getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Mind blowing.
Great SciFi with a dash of realism, good characters arcs and personalities.

I'm a fan of RDA since MacGyver reruns as a kid.

Just binged the Mandolorian, despite not being a Star Wars fan, enjoyed it.

Hello everyone, I'm Martin and a huge fan of the original series. I grew up in 1990 with star trek TNG on TV - I come from Germany.
That's when I started collecting these cool characters from my favorite series. This collector's passion has not left me to this day and I now have a considerable collection of the 4.5 inch Playmates figures.
In germany i have the feeling that i am the only collector of star trek figures, because all my collector friends collect star wars.
I'm looking forward to meeting other collectors here.
