The Iron Man bit was a pretty obvious lift. I didn’t really catch the other one.
Gonna be some fun and games if this Kevin Feige-produced Star Wars movie ever gets made.
The last-minute cavalry is the kind of movie moment that has surely been done hundreds of times over the decades, so it's weird to see people claiming that one 2019 movie ripped off another 2019 movie because of it.
Im assuming you mean Art of Force Awakens? TRoS’s art book has obnoxiously been pushed to March.

IIRC, the implications started pretty soon after TFA came out. I remember one of the big smoking guns was that there was a reference book that had a map of the galaxy in it, and Starkiller's construction site was precisely where a map in a prior book had put Ilum. And at some point, some source listed Ilum and Starkiller as having the same circumference, but I don't know when that was.
The trench in Fallen Order made it obvious enough that I was wondering why they were still hedging and not just saying it outright in a Wookiepeida-approved venue, but now the TROS Visual Dictionary has gone and said it, so the secret's out.

Poe was part of the Spice Runners when he was much younger (think mid-to-late teens), so the people who think that Zorii's line contradicts his backstory as established in the comics are just wrong in their interpretation of said line.

I can't remember where, but I read somewhere that Leia recruited Poe into The Resistance while he was still a pilot for the New Republic.
According to an article I read, which I got it's information for the TROS Visual Dictionary, a group of Sith followers moved onto Mustafar after the fall of the Empire, and they planted the trees to try return it to an earlier state.
We shouldn't have to read a book to understand a scene in the movie. To each their own. I guess.
The Visual Dictionary clarifies Poe's personal timeline vis a vis the Spice Runners, but the info in it isn't required to understand the film.
That makes sense.
The resistance is a borderline illegal paramilitary/terrorist group. They likely don't have a official recruitment office.
The only way to join is likley by joining the new republic military and making connections and friends with links to the resistance who can vouche for you.
Also likely they don't just accept any anti Gubberment wacko off the street either. They will want people reliable with skills they can use not some nutty Prepper hugging his blaster and believing in intergalactic conspiracy theory's on how Gungans control the galatic elite and how mon mothma trades younglings in dexes diner nor do they want psychopaths who want to join just to blow shit up.
