Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

Not Fallout.

The movie and the game are unrelated except that they based the title on a similar concept.

Hint, the movie is from the 60s and the game is from the last five years.

OK, I admit up front that I totally cheated, and so am probably not eligible for the cool points. But my knowledge of 60s movies is virtually non-existent (with the exception of a few very famous or SF-themed examples). So I Googled 60s movies, then looked through the titles until I found one that I recognized as a game title.

So, with that caveat out of the way... is it Persona?

My knowledge of 60s movies is about as bad a that of computer games so I would need some kind of AI to do all the research work for me.:D

Eddie Murphy's return to SNL was glorious. It was the funniest the show's been in a long time.

I haven't watched that show for a long time, maybe I'll catch a rerun on some foreign channel. I get one that specializes in American comedy shows, I used to watch Letterman before he retired on it.

OMG, that animated Short Trek (Ephraim & Dot) may be the cutest thing I have ever seen. :adore:

I wonder what changed his mind.

IIRC, he was not at all excited about doing a bit for the 40th anniversary special (definitely appeared to be phoning it in) because he was still pissed at David Spade.

The writing is still nowhere near as good as it was in the '90s but there are still moments of genius.

I agree it doesn’t reach the heights of the Hartman era but I think our memory of previous eras are colored by mostly seeing it cherry-picked. Even when it was great it was mostly doing the same gags every week. Watching greatest hits collections of old SNL eras is spectacular, sitting down and trying to binge full episodes is...not.

Whereas now if you don’t watch past Weekend Update you see mostly original sketches.

That mom says to her kids: "If I had some bacon I could make us bacon and eggs, too bad I don't have any eggs."
