So Luke and Rey are.. half siblings

yeah and it sucks. He’s becoming a director that rides off other people’s work. Lucas didn’t have any super weapons in the prequels. The movie was just horribly done. You can tell Mark Hamill was just phoning his part in. He seemed to have no interest being there. I don’t blame him Johnson wrecked his character.

No. Anakin is Luke’s father.
Rey’s father’s name is not mentioned but he is seen briefly in the film.

It really foes beggar the imagination that they didn't have an arc planned for the trilogy.
And even if he did, and in that manner of things, Luke and Rey would be cousins. Rey's father would be Anakin's half-brother.

Since Palpatine impregnated Shmi with midichlorians yup that would make Palpatine his grandfather. So yeah they are related but rey does not have any Skywalker blood in her.

Agreed. I wasn't a huge fan of The Last Jedi, but the "Your parents were nobody" thing was one of the things I liked. TLJ was like two different movies in conflict with each other. The stuff with Luke, Rey and Kylo was Empire Strikes Back level good. The stuff with Poe (whom was a complete imbecile) and Finn (who was a complete goofball) was Attack of the Clones level bad. Rey was by far the highlight of the trilogy.
Then it's a good thing that she wasn't a Mary Sue. Honestly, the people who complain about Rey being a Mary Sue a), don't know what a "Mary Sue" actually is or b), are afraid of getting cooties because the lead of their space fairy tale is a woman. Any complaint about Rey in this category can be equally and in all parts be applied to "Marty Stu" characters Luke and Anakin Skywalker.
Wrong again. Marvel's Darth Vader #25, which would have been approved by the story group, and which is canon, conclusively says otherwise.
