Just following
Lucas.

yeah and it sucks. He’s becoming a director that rides off other people’s work. Lucas didn’t have any super weapons in the prequels. The movie was just horribly done. You can tell Mark Hamill was just phoning his part in. He seemed to have no interest being there. I don’t blame him Johnson wrecked his character.

Agree to disagree pretty much on everything.

It would make Ben and Rey cousins
I'm talkong about Luke. He and Rey have the same grandfather
They have the same grandfather because they are cousins.

I thought that was the biggest flaw. Even regardless of quality, these three movies don’t really hang together as part of the same trilogy for me. It felt like TLJ was a reaction to TFA more than a continuation, and the same with TROS and TLJ.

I thought the prequels were much worse, but they at least fit together as their own thing.

I think the sequel’s saving grace was Rey. There were a few missteps - and I hated the Palpatine reveal - but I thought she had a really interesting character and enjoyed her drive and proactive nature throughout. I just wish they’d let her carry the trilogy a little more.

Agreed. I wasn't a huge fan of The Last Jedi, but the "Your parents were nobody" thing was one of the things I liked. TLJ was like two different movies in conflict with each other. The stuff with Luke, Rey and Kylo was Empire Strikes Back level good. The stuff with Poe (whom was a complete imbecile) and Finn (who was a complete goofball) was Attack of the Clones level bad. Rey was by far the highlight of the trilogy.

Its a problem when the main character is a mary sue instead of the under dog. Kylo should have been dominating and embarrassing Rey, not the other way round.

Then it's a good thing that she wasn't a Mary Sue. Honestly, the people who complain about Rey being a Mary Sue a), don't know what a "Mary Sue" actually is or b), are afraid of getting cooties because the lead of their space fairy tale is a woman. Any complaint about Rey in this category can be equally and in all parts be applied to "Marty Stu" characters Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

No.

Sheev had absolutely nothing to do with Anakin's birth.

Wrong again. Marvel's Darth Vader #25, which would have been approved by the story group, and which is canon, conclusively says otherwise.
