Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

anatomy class is a good way to learn how to carve a roast or an animal: go along the seams, cut at the joints, always guide the blade between muscle layers and along sinews, and if you have to slice, do it at a right angle to the fibers.
That'll make both optically pleasing slices and keep your blades (including the one of the scalpel) sharp.
I once met a Japanese cook who told me that in 20 years he had never have to sharpen his knife because he used that method. I've been practizing it ever since and have to agree. My carving knife (or as my mom calls it, the kitchen sword) is still as sharp as on day 1 and I've been using it for 35 years now.
I change my scalpel blades more often, though ;)

I wanna take the leap and sign up for Disney+. Anybody signed up here already??

I've read about two issues I'm not sure if I should be concerned about....being unable to go back to where you stopped if you left in middle of a show or movie...and paying extra for certain episodes/movies??

It seems American movies and series have a progressive influence here as more and more people are now decorating their houses for Xmas. A mere decade ago that was practically unheard of. I never even had a xmas tree as a child but that was mostly because my parents couldn't afford it. Not that I am complaining, I wouldn't trade my childhood for anyone else's.

I'm thinking that I could be doing without this Christmas lark
I simply can't afford the outlay for presents for people I'll be lucky to see till January/February or March, if at all.

A Colorado radio show host joked about how a school shooting would cut through this endless Trump coverage. Guess who doesn't have a job anymore? Not only that, but his co-host wife doesn't have a job anymore either because they canceled the whole show.

It seems that someone misestimated his audience.

Maybe it's a regional difference? Didn't you move to a different part of the country since last Christmas?

One of my ten favorite movies and one of my ten favorite video games have the same name. (The video game also has a number).

1000 cool points to anyone who can guess the name.
