You get to wait for your acid reflux? Who did you bribe to achieve that? Mine usually hits before whatever food causes it goes all the way down.
Speaking of that, what I'm doing is trying to decide what to have for lunch. My choices are: chicken or turkey lunch meat for sandwiches (or a slice of both with some sharp cheddar cheese), or a microwaveable chicken Freddichini Alfredo frozen meal I have in my freezer.
Trying to breathe. Sick as hell. My nose is both stuffy and dripping like a faucet at the same time. Lungs are full of gunk. Ugh. Had to work at 7 am. Not sure if I can do it tomorrow. It's nice to work from home but I shouldn't be scoring someone's test paper if I can't think straight.
I'm always at home.

I'm a contract worker; I work or I don't get paid. I chose to not get paid today. So ill. No way should I be scoring such a high stakes exam when I can barely remember my own name.
Do you use Tums? That often helps me more than the doctor prescribed medicine I have.
I used to get that. I finally had to start omeprazole (standard 20mg/day dose). Then after a while, I'd start waking up to a sudden rush of bile in my throat again accompanied by horrible pains. I had to start taking 40mg/day!!!
Three Tums would only ever give me a few minutes of relief if I didn't have my omeprazole.
I've finally been able to wean myself down to 20mg/day again, but I hope to be able to cut it out someday.

I'm so sorry. I know what that's like. I was a driver for both Doordash and Amazon for a short while.
I hope you'll be feeling better soon.
(And I'll try not to go into a rant about the rise of contract/gig culture and the unfairness of people being forced to make those types of health vs. income decisions...)
