I like your idea. I've liked most of the ideas for What if stories over the decades.

But when this news was reported, Goldblum said he's in an episode with Iron Man and Korg.

5 new "untitled Marvel film"s have been added to the release schedule by Disney:
    October 7, 2022
    February 17, 2023
    May 5, 2023
    July 28, 2023
    November 3, 2023

With the 3 dates already announced for 2022, looks like the MCU is officially going to 4 films a year. (Which they quite frankly needed to do, after adding all the X-Men and FF characters.)

With Black Panther in May of 2022, most sites I've seen are predicting Captain Marvel and GOTG3 for two of those 2023 dates as a balance.

Which leaves 3 dates in 2022, and 2 in 2023 to be split between:
    -Ant-Man
    -Fantastic Four
    -Blade
    -Deadpool
    -Young Avengers/Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts/X-Men/etc/????

Note: that's assuming they don't release Deadpool as one of their many "untitled Fox movies" that they also released a ton of dates for today.

One of those years will most likely have a Spider-Man movie, which be released by Sony, so that year would have FIVE MCU movies.

That's far off for the sequel.

None of that matches anything I saw in that film. (I don't know, maybe you're referring to the longer cut and it fixes some issues I had with the film - but if WB wanted me to pay for the longer cut they should have fixed the theatrical cut in the first place). And the WW voiceover very obviously has nothing whatsoever to do with Batman and Superman. There is no 'love' to be found in the finale of that film in the first place. Well, except Clark and Lois, but that didn't really matter in the scene.

But I'm not going any further into it than this, since this is all so far off topic now.

Wasn't doubting you. Just because you said something once doesn't mean everyone saw it. A lot of those review threads are long and crowded and easy to miss a post. Your comments on Captain America are simply much better known because you talk about those movies a lot (comparatively speaking, at least).

    Now getting back on topic:

There is just more time between marvel movie sequels in general at this point. 4 years for Black Panther. 5 years for Dr. Strange. Minimum 3-4 until Ant-man 3. 4 years until Thor 4.

It matches what was in the theatrical release, but as you say:

    Yep.

Cool. I should mention I edited a response to a different post of yours into my post while you wrote that. Not that it's a big important thing or anything, just in case you might be interested.

There was also four years in between Thor the Dark World and Thor Ragnarok.

And 5-6 between Guardians 2 and 3, though that was delayed for other reasons.

Spider-man's the only character who's guaranteed a short turn around anymore, and that's just for legal/licensing reasons.

So does Comics Alliance (or anyone else) have an updated infographic? The "most recent" I have seen had 2020 listed and that was for Cyborg and Green Lantern

    You're not thinking fourth dimensionally!

I guess by the time we actually reach 2023 it will be the same as the timeline in Marvel. Very clever and trippy

Which could mean the characters could say it's been a month since the Endgame battle when in reality it will have been 4 years since the movie came out.

The longer gap between solo sequels doesn't really feel as long to me because we still see (some of) those characters in other movies in-between.

I'm thinking Iron Man in Thor's place seems more likely.
According to IGN the Deadline article's their source "hinted" that she will be playing Loki as a woman.
As for the new release dates, I'm assuming at least three of those will be for Blade, Fantastic Four and X-Men.

That's possible, but I'm not seeing the how of it. Hulk was sent to Sakaar in an Avengers quinjet at the end of Age of Ultron, which are circumstances where you could conceivably see Hulk and Iron Man have their place's switched as they were both there. Thor was sent to Sakaar under very personal circumstances involving his family. I don't see how you can switch out Tony and Thor in that situation.

OK, that is a good point. I didn't think about the details of how they both ended up there.

Joss Whedon had commented that he shot a scene for Age of Ultron to accommodate the presence of Carol Danvers at the end of the movie. Apparently, it was never going to happen because Kevin Feige wasn't fond of the idea of introducing her fully formed like that at the end of the movie. Here is a shot of the scene with Carol's stand in, to be replaced digitally once the character was cast.

I also remember Whedon stating that they shot an alternate ending with Quicksilver, just in case someone at the studio didn't like killing him off. I would like to see that shot as well.

Another unconfirmed report suggest that we will meet Wanda and Vision's twins, Tommy and Billy, in WandaVision.

I have actually suspected that this is what was going to happen in the show due to Kevin Feige's hints that we would see the Young Avengers somewhere down the line. The show seems to have a plot of a mystical nature, which would be necessary to bring Tommy and Billy into the story.
