Kinda vaguely related to AP and his litany of threats to sue people for slander and libel, here's a Hollywood Reporter piece on a recent case (LINK) which outlines some of the key issues that factor into such suits re a "public figure" and a "limited purpose public figure" and what happens when people share images and add captions to them. Worth reading just because it does a good job of detailing the thorny issues of how the law works via a recent ruling regarding same.
