Myself, I hope this is nothing like Smallville. That was a waste of a TV series.
You are not kidding.

Deathstroke and The Suicide Squad.
Nowhere near half, sorry. A tiny number, no matter how many of them Twitter Outrage themselves half to death over Supergirl not being treated as Superman's inferior.
Question is how will this differ to other Superman series?
Very exciting news. The Man of Steel has always fared beter on TV to in the movies.
You really want a 70-year-old man (Michael Hogan) playing Perry White? My vote is Bruce Campbell as Perry White or the actor who played Cornel Tigh on Galatica. Jason
What's wrong with being old? JasonYou really want a 70-year-old man (Michael Hogan) playing Perry White?
I get that the character should be older, but not geriatric.
Even 61 years old (Bruce Campbell) seems way too old for the character.
There's nothing wrong with being old, but you don't want to cast a role so old that the person cast can't actually perform. What's wrong with being old? Jason
Lane Smith was 61 in the final year of Lois & Clark. Since this version of Lois and Clark have already had years-long careers as star reporters (and Superman), are married, and have a toddler, 60-70 seems pretty on point.
Question is how will this differ to other Superman series? Will there me an element of otuer space stuff? Even Supergirl has been cited as basically a Superman show but with Kara instead of Clark.
Superman has been active for awhile but not like 25 years or anything like that. Probably about 15 years in.
Um... Lois and Clark, The New Adventures of Superman? It had both Superman and Clark Kent right there in the title.Well, if you think about it, when was the last time we had a real Superman show? Superboy? And would that count given that he was Superboy and hadn't met Lois yet? The only actual Superman show, which featured Clark Kent and where Superman was the focus was the 1950s show if you think about it, at least in live action.
Tyler's Superman is 40 years old in-universe, so, yes, he's been active for at least 2 decades.
However, I still think a Perry White in his 60s is a little too old for a modern take on the character.
Superman is for all intents and purposes an undocumented immigrant who uses his power for the benefit of humanity in an unselfish manner, he fights crime and corruption and helps minorites both as Superman and as Clark through his reporting. Just by existing he's political, you cannot have a politically neutral Superman because that goes against everything he stands for which is basically anti republican.Superman is my favorite superhero. I hate the idea of the character being used to promote politics.
