It's been so many years since I visited Universal, I'd completely forgotten about the T-1000000 (which, since 1000000 is higher than 5000, I guess it outranks Skynet itself!)

James Cameron has said that they worked out a plot for three movies while they were developing Dark Fate. It sounds like if they make it to the third one it could be the end of the franchise. He says that they have been "kicking the can down the road" when it comes to the conflict between humans and AI, but you can only do that so many times before you need to hit a resolution, and the third movie, if it happens, would resolve that conflict.
Is it as deep as T2, or just violence and action? Any references to T1? And is Furlong actually in it, or not?Just back from seeing it. I enjoyed it (though preferred the first and second).

Saw it last nicht, and yes, it really is very good. I do hope it won't be punished at the box office for the last few movies.
It's been nearly 40 years since the first movie. THIS movie should have resolved the conflict!
"Galactica 1980", if not earlier and probably via coincidence and ostensibly for the same reason (cost cutting measure, not realizing the potential). And/or an innovation on the doppelganger trope except no elaborate and suspension-disbelief-ing scripting discussing excessive surgery or anything else related is needed. The going-back-in-time trope allows infinite number of reboots. They'll eventually get a cast and script and audience appreciation environment that will be like how lightning struck in 1984 and then in 1991. The original movies weren't free from plot problems, neither will remakes/reboots/sequels/reimaginings/etc. The fewer the better, obviously, but with each iteration the problems will only be different and/or perceived as such.“I would say many [disagreements],” Cameron said. “And the blood is still being scrubbed off the walls from those creative battles. This is a film that was forged in fire. So yeah, but that’s the creative process, right?”
Who says come with me if you wanna live? XD
