I didn't like this too much on first watch but rewatching it made me appreciate it as a harmless fun episode. Still don't think Edward would have made it in 23rd century Starfleet and the captain should have done more to try to save the ship though.

You got that? In his underwear. HIS UNDERWEAR.

Everything Bernd posts about the Kurtzman-eta of Trek is unintentionally hilarious. Even the comments intended to be positive have this histrionic quality to them. He acts like any disregard for continuity is a heresy against a precious population that it's his sworn duty to protect from evil, evil heresy. Like we're all out here trembling if he doesn't swoop in to save the day by yelling on the Internet. It's exhausting.

But the episode was fun, so my 8 rating stands.

I'd assume these Tribbles were still super-charged from the initial procedure of infusing ding-dong's DNA into them. They probably slow down a little later on and also require more food to keep be prodigious.

Haven't you heard? German Star Trek fans sleep in full Starfleet uniform so they never fall prey to the temptation to step out of their bedrooms in their pajamas or underwear to check out any commotion that may occur in the hallway outside their sleeping quarters.

To be fair to Bernd - he build a sprawling website, putting thousands of man-hours into a private encyclopedia, that is almost exclusively about canon and continuity. Not about individual stories. And CBS simply doesn't care about continuity at all.

I enjoyed a lot of beer stuff more than him. But I can absolutely feel why he's pissed.
