There are still plenty of ways you can make major changes to the characters and universes without killing people off or merging the universes.

    That is awesome.

I hope for a happy medium, where the major shows are reduced to one universe, but a multiverse at large remains.

That's the last thing I want. Supergirl's separate universe defined by heavy alien immigration is part of its core character. It would be wrong to efface the individuality of the shows out of some misguided desire to copy a mistake DC made decades ago and eventually undid. After all, any character can cross universes in five seconds by pulling one of Cisco's extrapolators out of their pocket, so there's no need to combine the universes for the sake of character interaction. It would gain absolutely nothing and cost the shows a great deal of story potential.

I got a real spoiler here. It’s from a Facebook group on the crossover. One of the members is a Vancouver local and has been visiting location shoots for these shows for years. Has many pictures with cast members. Has a picture with Burt Ward from yesterday.

On that newspaper prop she said the actor in the picture was not there. But someone from one of his films was -
I guessed Robert Wuhl who played Alexander Knox. She confirmed I was right.

That would be the correct way to go for some of the DC tv series, as many of the shows are fairly weak, and would benefit from an integrated world / universe where more honest-to-source stories could be told, rather than one-off "events" and its back to same old, same old.

I agree with your points, but I am guessing that the main series are going to be merged.

I don't see any reason to expect that. Past Arrowverse crossovers based on comics plots have not slavishly copied them, but just used bits and pieces of them to tell stories that arose from the Arrowverse's own story and character dynamics and advance its ongoing story arcs. Several Arrowverse storylines have made a point of changing events from the comics versions because they knew it would be dull for comics fans if they already knew how the stories turned out -- for instance, The Flash's Cicada arc used time travel to alter the identity of Cicada from his comics version, and Elseworlds had Oliver make a deal with the Monitor to spare Flash and Supergirl from their "destined" deaths (though the Monitor now seems to have reneged where Barry was concerned).

And like I said, there is absolutely nothing that would be gained by merging Supergirl into Earth-1. The shows' leads can already casually cross over anytime they want, and a merger would cause a monumental upheaval of every show's storylines and the loss of a lot of their distinctive elements. And there's no way Black Lighnting's producers would want to merge worlds. They're too invested in standing apart and doing their own distinctive story.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. Is this member saying that there was two different versions of the newspaper, with Alexander knox in the other newspaper? Or are they saying that they saw Robert Wuhl the actor physically on the set in character as Alexander Knox?

I think Dick meant that Michael Keaton ("the actor from the picture") was not there on the set, but Robert Wuhl was.

It’s all over the internet this morning that the actor who played Lucifer on that show was seen filming with a group of Arrowverse regulars.

Also reported that the real hanger used for Star Labs/ Hall of Justice was used this week. I mean the real location for interiors. The exterior is a photoshop of the real inspiration of the Hall of Justice.

What is the rule, feeling on spoilers in this thread?

Which is the Museum Center at Cincinnati Union Terminal, less than two miles from where I'm sitting right now. I was thrilled when I recognized it in the Invasion! crossover.

I am not surprised they are using it again. On Twitter a couple of months ago one of the writers posted they were surprised to learn of that real life Cincinnati inspiration for the Hall of Justice. With a hashtag of #CrisisonInfiniteEarths So clearly that all came up in the Writer’s Room while planning this out.

I've always wished that some DC production would come here to do location filming at Union Terminal. I think they considered shooting exterior plates here for Batman Forever (for the arena where the Flying Graysons were killed) but went with a matte painting loosely based on UT instead.

By the way, the backstory for it is that Super Friends was sponsored by the Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble Company, and the show's producers saw the Terminal while they were in town for a business meeting with the sponsors.

It would be great if they finally went there for exteriors. They have spend money for some Gotham exteriors in Chicago on Batwoman. It would be hard to hide it though. I do not think TPTB are that concerned about secrecy to prevent location shoots. Given how much as gotten out in Vancouver. It’s good publicity.

The name that got my attention was Matt Ryan. Of course if you're going to bring Lucifer into crossover, he'll have to have a scene with Constantine. :)

Could think of several possible scenes with those two - none of which would suitable for a tv show
