Name That STAR TREK Episode...

Good guess, but in "Day of the Dove" there were 392 trapped below deck. If we count all aboard, then add about 80 more. So, the numbers don't work to give 430 plus 1.

Clue #2 While this episode is clearly not "Day of the Dove", it could have been called "Day of the Bluejay".

Tomorrow Is Yesterday?
1. Enterprise Crew (430) plus Captain Christopher (1) are technically trapped/prisoners in time.
2. Captain Christopher's Call Sign is Bluejay 4.

Yes, it is "Tomorrow is Yesterday". It's unclear whether it is better to be a prisoner in time or a prisoner in a luminous sphere, but either way, you are the winner.

I'm currently out of my sphere, and trick-or-treating as Spock...

1st Clue: Wow, that's the long way to get back to where we started.

I was gonna say Naked Time, Charlie X or City on Edge for events being reversed, but that's too obvious...

Spectre of the Gun with the landing party never actually having experienced the gunfight events?

Hmm or Is There In Truth, with Chekhov's amazement when the ship returns to normal space?

Thanks for showing interest in the game, but I'm confused: I'm either seeing five guesses at once, or no guess and only speculation. I choose the later. (Rules: One guess per post. No more guesses until responded as correct or incorrect.)

To help a little more:
2nd Clue: I hope we are up for the long haul to make this agreement.

I'll try "Friday's Child".

1. Lots of coups, chases and intrigue to get back to the situation they should have been in right at the beginning, if not for the Kingons throwing a wrench in the works.

2. They end up making a treaty at the end and hopefully it lasts and it is a long haul to carry the "rocks" back with this mining agreement.

3. Many dead after Maab battles Akaar. Then Kirk and Spock kill many with audio tricks.

Sorry - my enthusiasm got the better of me!

"Friday's child is loving and giving", and I equally cannot see how it applies to these clues as it also applies to the episode. :wtf:

1st Clue: Wow, that's the long way to get back to where we started.
2nd Clue: I hope we are up for the long haul to make this agreement.

3rd Clue: Many dead in devious back to back ambushes.
4th Clue: Kirk is distracted by food, and not the usual beautiful guest star.

OK, it must be "Arena".

1. At the end the Enterprise is transported back to home space.
2. Can they really make an agreement with lizzard-men?
3. The Gorn attack the base, and then attack the landing party. Kirk also leads an effective counter-attack. Many are killed on both sides.
4. The very uncharacteristic scene at the beginning with Kirk thinking about good food and not questioning the request for a tactical officer.

Correct @Steven P Bastien, it's Arena. You missed the 2nd clue, but you are correct on the other three. Here's my official breakdown on the clues:

1st Clue: Wow, that's the long way to get back to where we started.

At Episode start, the Enterprise starts at Cestus Three. It chases the Gorns at high warp speeds for some time. Then the Metrons teleport the ship 500 parsecs which is about 1630 light years! At Episode end, Kirk orders the ship back to Cestus Three. Even at a minimum of the 1630 light years (assuming the Metrons sent them back directly in the direction toward Cestus Three), that's a lot miles put on the old girl in one episode.
2nd Clue: I hope we are up for the long haul to make this agreement.
At the end of the episode, Kirk would like to reach an agreement with the Metrons, but the Metron says perhaps in several thousand years that humans and Metrons shall meet and reach an agreement. "Don't call us, we'll call you."
3rd Clue: Many dead in devious back to back ambushes.
Twice, the Gorns use deceptive tactics to first attack the Outpost (they poured it on wiping out the Outpost, even killing women and children, too), then lay a trap for Kirk and his tactical team on the planet surface while simultaneously attacking the B-Team commanded Enterprise in orbit. Very clever these Gorns.
4th Clue: Kirk is distracted by food, and not the usual beautiful guest star.
No woman guest star is present (my deceptive tactic to to confuse the clue) as Kirk falls into the trap; he and McCoy were too preoccupied with a good meal from Commodore Travis's chef to worry why Kirk was asked to bring down his tactical staff.
