Really liked this trailer. Seeing Riker and Troi was a lovely moment. Especially seeing them still together and not going down the Han and Leia route of Star Wars.

I wonder why Picard's dream has them in the late pre-movie TNG uniforms? Nostalgia for the audience? It's the uniform he knows him best in?

It's weird because Data's got his TNG movie makeup with a TNG series uniform, which makes it look wrong even before you add in the 30 years Brent Spiner has aged in the interim.

Yes, I wondered that, too. Certainly, the character screams, "You should know who this is!" to me.

Those last couple of seconds with Picard and Riker...

That was absolutely fucking wonderful. :)

    It should have been Janeway.

It's a good trailer. It's first trailer of this series that's given me something to... "look forward" to.

But there's still a lot of aspects to it I just don't like the look and tone of.

In the Eaglemoss/HeroCollector group, it was speculated that the production team used the Eaglemoss CG of the Enterprise-D for reference, which is known for the shuttlebay symmetry.

Well, the hologram is necessarily not the Enterprise, merely a Galaxy class ship, and individual vessels can easily have small differences like that. (In reality it is of course most likely a production mistake.)

It could be a later variant of the Galaxy Class that didn't come with the Assymetric Shuttle Bays.

The CG work is presumably not final, since the shot of San Francisco was lifted directly from the season 2 Discovery finale and the shuttles are the same as in Discovery. A few of the other shots look a little rough.

I also saw a DSC era shuttle flying outside of the Admirals windows.

Maybe these old Phasers / Shuttles are sold to the public like modern day Military Surplus.

Ergo the archaic tech is reused instead of destroyed.

I like Picard's "The Hell with it, I'm doing it anyway!" attitude. That always appeals to me.

So Seven is a hired gun? The Equalizer? Avenger? Badass Bionic Angel with lethal eye/hand coordination is what she looks like here. Wonder what the Doctor would make of that...

Yeah, more love for the Riker family here. Frakes is a big old teddy bear...
