Spoilers Season 3 Comic-Con reveals

I missed the Lurian and the Cardassian when I watched the trailer on my PS4. I'm glad to see them bringing in some aliens from the 24th Century.
Definitely like what I saw in the trailer, having a weakened Federation is an interesting idea. It's not a total, the Federation has collapsed dystopia, but it's does make thing a bit harder for our heroes.
Visiting the Trill pools is a nice callback to DS9.

That's where I am with this. A weakened Federation strikes me as inevitable and interesting, especially if it's fractured so that there are other "rival" Federations. That could make for an interesting and very Trekkian challenge.

I imagine that visiting the Trill pools is a way for our heroes to find out what happened to cause the Federation to weaken.

Anyone else think there's a splice between Burnham saying, "I've spent a year searching..." and "...for that domino that tipped over and started all of this."?

So, Burnham's time jump apparently screwed things up in the future some how.

And They've (what's left of the Federation) been waiting around for her to show up.

Why no review thread for the new Short Trek? England won't get it for months, I want ot at least know if it's any good.

On further inspection, is that a Breen in Engineering? And is that a Bajoran in front of the Cardassian? Who is the other alien on the left of the Iceland exterior shot of the people with guns running after our heroes?

Looks like the fan theories were correct, Burnham's there for a whole year prior to Discovery's arrival.

Kinda looks like a united galaxy against the humans?

Yay on the Trill stuff. Future Dax is a certainty.

Who's the short haired girl in the Jeffries Tube?

Not gonna lie, some of the TNG/DS9 makeups may be 100% authentic to 24th century Trek, but they look like rubber masks, at least at a quick glance.

So, just like the main characters of pretty much every Star Trek show ever?

This is different. The Guardian of Forever wasn't waiting specifically for Kirk and Spock to show up. Nor were the Borg waiting for Picard by name to show up.

The way they write Discovery, the entire reason the Star Trek universe exists is because of Michael Burnham, which is laughably bad writing.
