I don't think so. Hugh is in the trailer a few times without most of his implants, but we know they took that upper body cast for the makeup. Maybe he has a full implants at some point and they get removed?
Hugh’s more human looking than I expected given the secrecy around his makeup. Saying that, we don’t actually know his race do we? Loved seeing the TNG uniforms, wonder if they framed it so you wouldn’t have to see the comm badges and they wouldn’t have to source some. I don’t expect this to be the “uniform scene” PS referred to at SDCC though?
Picard trailer is excellent. I'm really intrigued to see how all the android, Borg and Romulan stuff fits together.
I missed him, where was he? Loved the trailer. So was that a whole bunch of Soong-type androids we saw? At first I thought maybe they were ex-Borg. Sounds the Rikers have a daughter. I wonder if they'll use the same name they gave thier daughter in the books, Natasha? Very curious what is up with the 23rd Century Romulan ship. Could they have ended up having to rebuild old ships after Hobus? Data does still look weird in the dream. I wonder if all of his appearances will be dreams? So far the only thing I'm disappointed in is the Starfleet uniforms. I was really hoping they'd go for something drastically different, but instead they've gone back to a design that's very similar to the early DS9/Voyager ones. I honestly thought it was those ones when I saw the first trailer.
I admit I was hoping for Admiral Picard! lol This is so exciting, loved seeing the Rikers again, the ships, Borg, Romulans - this will be amazing. And there are some interesting things in the DSC trailer too!
Not gonna lie, I actually prefer the guesstimate version I bought online after the 1st trailer appeared.
Coming out of the rock I've been living under to say the trailer looked awesome and exciting. I wasn't surprised by seeing the Rikers as much as I was by Seven in the last one, probably because I already knew it was coming; I still paused for a moment to digest the news they have a kid though. So the biggest surprises for me were how Starfleet's apparently building Soong-type androids (yeah, there's no way that could ever go wrong) and seeing Hugh at least partially de-assimilated. I'm wondering if this android project is connected to the Romulans and the secret project(s) involving the Borg somehow, because if it is, it's going to get really nasty really fast. I found Data's looks in the apparent dream sequence weird though, but for me it was rather the bad wig Spiner was wearing than the make-up and/or de-aging job that made him look uncanny. The sweeping vista of Vasquez Rocks, the starship resembling a classic Romulan Bird-of-Prey and the TNG uniforms were nice little touches as well. I'm confident I'm going to love this when it finally comes out. I'm loving the news coming from NYCC so far. Damn, how am I gonna stay calm until January?
A de-assimilated Hugh does look a lot like Chakotay, come to think of it. Or at least, what Chakotay would have looked like 20 years ago.
No Not surprised to see no borders around Cardassia. In line with novels, post war Cardassia became a protectorate of the Federation (and perhaps of Romulans and Klingons) and so that explains the lack of independence in the maps. Been and Ferenginar probably did not have anything outside their main star system to begin with.
