Yeah, the TNG shuttle couldn't leave the studio, so they had to use the other Star Trek V prop, plus the miniature.I didn’t realise the Hawking shuttle in Generations was virtually unchanged from its TFF appearance, even still keeping the 1701-refit style nacelles. I’m guessing this was the “other” shuttle that didn’t get shortened into the Type-6 for TNG?
Guess that’s why you don’t get a full look at the nacelles in the deleted scene where Geordi and Worf pick up Picard, they probably didn’t add the lights to the full sized prop.Yeah, they just slapped some fake windows on the sides and added a blue glow to the outer nacelles of the miniature.
Oh.. Well, I guess they were just being lazy.![]()
i was critical of the paint when i saw preview pictures, but in hand there's a clear attempt to break it up with some blue highlights, they even tried to indicate spot lights with splotches of white paint. but really, what did you expect? the thing is basically just black on screen. On that note, the scimitar arrived a few days back.
One flat colour and a bit falling off in the box.
Sigh.

about the bit falling off...same with mine, i emailed them and they sent me a new one. yes this is easy to repair, but you shouldn't have to. don't let them get away with that.
The collection (unknown start date) is pre-selected Cryptic designs.Anyone know when Eaglemoss is going to start doing the STO ships? I finally have a Tier 6 Dreadnaught Cruiser that I’d like to get a model made for and I recall they (or maybe it was another company) who was recently talking about doing that.
Looks like I won't be buying any more shuttle sets... They're expensive as it is, but the fact that they are sold as 4-packs and there's never 4 shuttles I need in the same set makes them ungodly expensive. This set only includes two models I care about (Armored SC-4 and Sphinx Workpod), and the next set won't be any better for me since there's only 1 or 2 designs I like (regular SC-4 and possibly a Sovereign-class escape pod) left. I probably would've bought more shuttle sets if they were sorted by shows/movies/eras instead of trying to put a bit of everything in each set.
my method has been to buy the sets, then sell the ones i don’t want on eBay. it’s not fun to lay out the $100, but the individual shuttles usually go for $30-$35. depending on how many you sell, you can basically make back your original expense.Looks like I won't be buying any more shuttle sets... I’m assuming this is on the PC version of the game? If so, then crap! I’m running mine on the XBox. I don’t see an Upload button anywhere in the customization area. I wonder if PC and console accounts are interchangeable...The collection (unknown start date) is pre-selected Cryptic designs.
You can have your personalised ship - in this case, your T6 dreadnought - uploaded to GamePrint and 3D-printed by them. Prices start at $21.99 and the sky’s the limit.
To upload, visit the Ship Editor/Shipyard and where you customise it, click the Upload button.
I got a shuttle that I liked separately from a collector who bought the full set, and I'm very happy with it - just ask around, someone might actually sell what you're looking for.Looks like I won't be buying any more shuttle sets... If we're getting random concept shuttles from technical manuals, I want the one from Mr Scott's Guide. I know it's just the top half of the Vulcan shuttle with Starfleet markings, but if we can get the Hawking Type-6 variant, we can get this.
