See (new Apple TV+ show staring Jason Momoa

I understand why, say, tobacco company executives make gobs of money. Doesn't mean I want to watch a series that depicts them as heroes for doing so.

Again, not asking you to watch your show. But you asked why did Matt Lauer make lots of money and then painted a picture that poorly understood what he actually did and the value he brought—which was probably why NBC turned a blind eye to his shiftiness until they couldn’t.

And, unless you’ve seen the show... meh, I just stopped caring what you think. In mid sentence no less.

Yeah, that's part of my wariness - that, in order to further cast the Lauer character as the villain (which Lauer totally was), the show, going by the preview, will almost certainly make heroes out of the other hosts, who in reality get tens of millions of dollars to sit on their asses, smile, and make chit-chat with celebrity guests in as inoffensive a manner as possible. Seriously, Lauer had a yearly salary of $25m - and for what? For asking Tom Cruise a few tough questions a decade ago? For being a face retirees (the only people with time in the morning to actually watch such programs) already recognize? Zero interest from me, thanks - but, in order not to further derail the thread, that's all I'll say on the matter. ;)
From the EW article it sounds like it's going to be taking a more complex approach to this than him being the "villain" and them being the "heroes".

The article says that it will follow things from his perspective and how it all effects him and the people around him.

I signed back up for Apple TV+ and started season 2 yesterday. It got off to a pretty good start.
I'm expecting Haniwa and the sighted woman working for Edo to end up allies by end of the season. Being 2 of only a few sighted people in the world has to create at least a little bit of bond.
It will be interesting to see what happens now that Sibeth has changed her approach to the sighted.
Man, I forgot just how brutal the action scenes in this were. The big fight with Baba and Edo's soldiers at the end was insane. I love the fighting style they've come up with for Baba.
As a big Sleepy Hollow fan, I got a kick out of Lord Harlan's introduction.
Now that's seen a bit more of the relationship between the Kane sisters, I can see why Maghra tried to overthrow Sibeth.
If Maghra does turn on her sister again, I'm curious if Harlan will work with her. He's definitely not happy with the way they showed up and Sibeth took over his house.
Looks like Edo is going to be a great villain for the season.
Is Tamacti Jun in the season at all? I didn't see him in the first episode, and they introduced a new Witchhunter leader, who seemed like he could be a replacement him.
