(Oh, and that four nacelle abomination? Kill it with fire. Yeech.)
Your overall point seems plausible, but, just as an aside, the feature in the Plymouth Superbird is more properly called an automotive wing, not a spoiler.I assume Mike Minor was evoking a car spoiler on the Reliant design. Not sure when the first spoilers appear, but this is the first one I recall, from 1970. Definitely in that TOS design window, particularly if the Reliant had appeared in TAS.

Likely so!That’s true, but nobody would have know what I was talking about if I had sacrificed the point to total accuracy.
What he said.I love what you did with the tail end of the deflector pod...
To have a TOS starship without red pinstripes would be illogical. Can't wait to see it "painted"! Will you be keeping the red stripes along the saucer?
I think he’s referring to the red pin stripes uniquely on the TMP Miranda’s saucer top that flow out circularly from the registry and end at the Space Energy Field sensors or whatever there are.To have a TOS starship without red pinstripes would be illogical.![]()
They are. The problem is that I can’t take proper, well-lit orthographic views from the only place I have everything assembled (textures, windows, decals, etc) which is the Unreal Engine. I can take orthographic images from Substance Painter (like I’ve done above), but I’m unable to assemble things like decals and windows in that program. I’m still investigating other options, because I want to make nice orthographic images of my finished products as well!!Hey wait (said I in mock irritation) those look a lot like orthographic views!
I model with 3ds Max, texture with Substance Painter.Thank you for answering the question I was about to ask ("whaddya doin' this in?"). But Unreal is a renderer, isn't it? What are you using for a modeler?
