Yeah, I agree. I think it's a nicely detailed game with some good exploration. I find having relaxing games like these make for nice change of pace.

Also, have you played Virginia? That's another one that might be up your alley. It's more of a first-person interactive movie, told without dialogue. But it's very well done. A mystery plays out and as a new female FBI recruit, both you and your partner are doing some investigating. It's very stylish down to the graphical style used and the cinematic cuts.

What Remains of Edith Finch is a first-person adventure game that was part of Sony's Playstation Plus offerings for May and is still available for 2 more days.

I tried playing it, but the POV started making me physically ill and I had to end up stopping.

I'm playing it via Steam, but I see it's also available on PS4 and XB-One.

Edith Finch is a good game. The story is actually quite good and sad in places but also interesting. If you can get over the POV you should try to finish it it's good.

I want Everyone's gone to the rapture but it's not available on Steam in Australia, anyone want to gift me the game?

I will reciprocate by giving you a game of equal value.

Portal 1 & 2 have a female lead. She doesn't say anything, unfortunately, but the games themselves are still nearly perfect.

That they are, I love portal, the very first one made me fan theory that this was the same universe as Cube.

I am playing that one right now. Love Chloe and Nadine. I'm at that huge open area with the temples.

I'm hoping that Chloe and Nadine have an appearance in the new movie coming out next year.

Probably not, last I heard it was a prequel about the early days of Nate and Sully's relationship. Even if that's not a exact story, it is a prequel since it's starring Tom Holland.

    WTF?

why the bloody hell would you make a prequel to an existing series instead of say an actual movie set in that series? Unless they are planning some kind of "universe" because that works well for comic book nerd movies.

Yeah, I was really surprised when I heard that too. I was really hoping we'd at least get Elena, but I guess that's not going to happen.
My ideal story would have been something set between 3 and 4, there's a pretty big gap there, and it would give them on opportunity to bring in pretty all of the major characters from the games.

Hellblade might be exactly what you're looking for.

Bayonetta is fun, but not what i'd call a "strong female." It's a very sexualized and sexist portrayal of women.

Hellblade is pretty cool. I think it's available on the Windows store with a Game Pass membership. It tells the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, if it were set n Norse mythology with the woman journeying to Hel.

If you enjoy FPSs, try No One Lives Forever 1 & 2; these are, by computer standards, old, but still enjoyable. You play Cate Archer, a female secret agent in a 1960s James Bond world.

If you like fantasy RPGs, the Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim series is fun (each successive game has better graphics and features but less and less to do). You have a choice of races to play, including humanoid felines and reptiles, and can play male or female.

OMG I love the NOLF games to bits.

I played them to death on my old win 7 machine but never managed to get them to play nice in windows 10, despite mods and various patches. But those were fun games and Cate Archer is awesome
