He also was a pretty big part of the last couple seasons of Preacher, where he also eventually ended up being brought back to life.
In this case, I'm really sure if he would be considered to have died, since we never actually saw him die, but he did end up back in Hell, where is now in charge.

I like that the Monitor was shaking his head first. So judgmental.

    Go ahead, caller. I'm listening...
    YES. :D
I told my wife during the episode with the Bollywood musical that I bet that actress is going to "be somebody" within the next few years - all respect to the rest of the cast of LoT, I enjoy them and the show a lot, but talent-wise, I feel like she's leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of them, except maybe Dominic Purcell.

But would Rip punch Hitler, or would we be in for a shocking surprise?

In the comics Genghis Khan was one of Vandal Savage’s previous identities. That goes back to his origin story in his early appearances. I wonder if the writers know that? It is interesting that the name “Vandal Savage” was never used. Unneeded it clear who he was. Funny how they glossed over his past motivations, including Hawkgirl, as unimportant. Though Nora was curious about a past girlfriend of Ray. I wonder if that sets up her return?

Vandal Savage is rumored to be in the Suicide Squad sequel. If they are restricted now, they could get around it using his other historical names like Genghis Khan.

It never would have occurred to me but I read someone compare Savage being friendly with Ray to an JLU episode. Where in the alternate future Savage feels remorse for destroying the world. So him and a time displaced Superman become wayward friends.

If they do use HItler I would hope they do something more interesting than just have someone punch him. I kind of like the idea of Hitler actually killing baby Hitler by accident but being protected from the timeline change for plot reasons and nobody knows who he is. Maybe he tells them he is struggling artist and he has to pretend to be Charlie Chaplin until people slowly being to realize this guy is not a good guy.

Except Fowles died in 2005, so it wouldn't be a legal issue. You can't libel the dead, and trashing somebody's book isn't libelous even when they're alive. It's just a book review.

Heck, they made Hemingway a jerk onscreen. :)

Is it libel if it’s true? ;)

My reaction too! It’s clearly not Brandon’s choice. An angry fan blamed him for disappointing fans on Twitter and he replied it was not his idea.

This show was build for turnover but he was there from the beginning.
Often cast members have left for other career options. They should put him on The Flash he always seemed to fit in there.

He has been way underused lately. More than any other character he has suffered for writers who have little interest in actual superheroics. He plays comedy great but he is written as an idiot. He is the smartest guy on the ship but never comes off that way. It does not help that they basically have a magic timeship from an alternate erased future. Which everyone can use with ease. So him being a Tony Stark level genius means nothing.

My interest has been falling off already. They passed the limit of relying on absurd and goofy for everything! Any strong characterization or drama has been abandoned. It’s a self parody.

Ray has been one of my favorite characters from the beginning, and Nora has really grown on me lately, so I'm disappointed to see them go. At least it sounds like it was a purely creative choice, and not do to any kind of problems with them.
I didn't realize they were a couple in real life.

That would be the only good reason for him to depart.

The most recent season of Legends was really kind of a nail in the coffin for me. I have not written about it here because I don't want to be somebody that jumps on a thread and pisses on a show the posters like.

I really enjoyed the first couple of seasons of Legends and thought that Season 3 had its moments--but the turnover of characters and the way the show ignored the "SUPERhero" angle last season just left me "blah". I would love to see Ray on The Flash as I think he would be a good fit. Nora should have been done after season 3.

It is still an Arrowverse series and I will continue to watch Legends, although it will most likely be something I play in the background while I am working just to keep up on the major plot points. (Am I the only one who watches shows like that?)
