Children of Time

Re Molly O'Brien, I guess they didn't want to rehash the "Dax" episode by having young Molly appear in juvenile court for her older alternate self's actions which she couldn't recall.

This would set a terrible legal precedent... Being judged for crimes an alternate future version of yourself has done... Oh, wait! Wasn't that what Braxton in Voyager was accused of? I guess nothing is too crazy for the ST universe.:rommie:

Not just Jadzia, but Kira too. He basically slept with his two female officers on the same day. Sisko must be a gentleman, because Sisko doesn't kiss and tell.

Mirror Kira slept with pretty much everybody (males, females, hermaphrodites...etc), so it wasn't that big of an exploit.

Not a big deal for her, but should be a big deal for Sisko, or real Kira

She got pretty upset about the creepy rich guy trying to get a hold of a holographic Kira to have sex with.

True but it was her not her Mirror double. I'd have been upset too, which is why a never post any image of myself on the internet. I'd hate to see it part someday of some "work of art"...

Well...until now, I'd never actually considered the possibility of someone making fakeporn using a picture of my face:ouch:. I guess us noncelebrities don't have to carry such burdens.

I'm reminded of Doctor Who The Last of the Timelords when the Doctor reverses time and says that those who were on board the sky ship with him would remember all that happened because they were at the 'eye of the storm'. Similar to why Kirk etc remember the events in New York from City on the Edge even though they have restored time (and presumably by Kirk pushing McCoy back onto the pavement and their returning through the Guardian, their very existence in that time was erased and Edith's original accident was reverted back to...).

That said... Picard etc don't remember events in Yesterday's Enterprise... Although their entire personal histories were altered and reverted... Whereas Children of Time is an alternate future, and City Kirk etc are arguably shielded on the Guardian's planet to notice any changes... Whereas Picard etc have no 'protection' since they were in no way related to the Enterprise C until it came into their future time period...

So heck! I guess each episode depends on plot convenience...

I think Kira would be bothered but ultimately understand the necessity. She’s no stranger to doing bad things in war.

IIRC future Molly wasn’t facing legal charges do much as a demand that she be institutionalized out of the danger she posed to others.

I know, but young Molly (once she returned from the cave after only moments) might require a psych eval to tie up loose ends and satisfy the bureaucracy. Presumably, it would be temporary insanity. The fact that she was found and rescued, making her lost time never happen for her (she doesn't remember any of it) doesn't change the fact that DS9 staff and her family still remember wild woman Molly. Her victim was still injured. They would have had to have traveled back in time to before it happened and stopped it from happening in the first place.

(And even then, there's still a universe where it did.)
