The thing that I find funny is how could Riker have a memory of the Enterprise exploding!:D

Or The Genesis Device! I love how they slipped that one in.

They did things even worse on DS9 final clip sequence where Jake remembers a timeline he never experienced and Worf remembers being a hologram of himself.

Sure, "Shades of Grey." At least it was only boring, not actively offensive. And it was Pulaski's last episode, which is worth something to me.

I'll start the next round with a point to "The Outrageous Okona," which again, was boring but not basically offensive.

I guess I will give a vote to Code of Honor. It's bad, but the other 3 episodes are even worse. The fight scene was pretty cool. I liked Tasha's headband, and the main guest star did a nice job.

I will vote Force Of Nature. In a field of beyond awful, generibland wins.

I guess I'll give a point to "Force Of Nature", which I find deathly boring and terribly executed, but at least it's reaching for a big idea and has it's heart in the right place.

I will give a point to "Code of Honor". The story is not bad, the biggest flaw was the casting. Aside from that, and considering it is at the beginning of TNG, it's not as bad as people put it out to be.

The Host - 0

I give my point to Force of Nature, at least it sort of contains a message: "It's wrong to destroy our environment.". It's not very subtle but it's there.

Code Of Honor - 2
The Outrageous Okona - 1
The Host - 0
Force of Nature - 3

I'll save Force of Nature, which has a somewhat well-intentioned message, and is just that tiny bit better than the other three stories.

And I'll give a point to The Host, since it at least contributed something new and potentially interesting with the Trill (even if DS9 ended up having to change basically everything about them), as opposed to the other two, which are just so bad you just try to forget that they ever existed.

Point to "The Host." I don't loathe it. I've always thought in retrospect it seems worse than it actually was, since DS9 did such a fantastic job redeveloping the Trill. It really shines a spotlight on all the aspects of them that weren't fully thought out for "The Host," but TNG was packed with aliens-of-the-week who would have crumbled if subjected to heightened scrutiny, so that's not unique. (For the life of me I still don't understand why Dax wasn't just a member of another joined species. They could have name-checked it -- "like the Trill." When you're going to change literally everything about them except "joined species", why keep the same name?)

I agree. It does a good job of making the Trill look interesting, even if the romance side plot is somewhat annoying.

I guess I have to save The Host now.

It’s hard to get around the fact Odan says “That is me, that is what must survive.” Then the new host shows up and it’s a full sentient being. But you can chalk it up to writer oversight and pretend the crew didn’t willingly participate in one creature stealing the life of another it becomes an average episode.

I guess I’m forced to vote Code of Honor in next round too. Also an episode where something horrible is glossed over. Tasha was kidnapped to force her into marriage which implies intent of rape. But at least the poison glove fight was cool. Okona comes off like fanfic written by an eleven year old.

"Outrageous Okona" It is a terrible episode, but "Code Of Honor" is profoundly morally revolting. I used this earlier in one of these threads, but it really is true: "Code Of Honor" is the episode that is so racist, I often forget it also features Tasha swooning over how great it felt to be abducted and threatened with rape, because the guy was just so rugged, how could you not get swept away?

Hmm. I don't find either one to be even remotely as bad as Spock's Brain, And The Children Shall Lead, or The Way to Eden.

To paraphrase New York's catchphrase in Edwards and Stone's 1776,

Hbquikcomjamesl abstains, courteously.

"The Outrageous Okona" is outrageously moronic but "code Of honor" is offensive. I'll take moronic over offensive every time.

This is a really tough one, possibly the hardest choice between any final two in any of these games so far. I think I would have voted for Okona over just about any other episode except Code of Honor (and possibly Shades of Gray), but I will give it credit for just one thing - a couple of the bits between Brent Spiner and Joe Piscopo are at least vaguely amusing. Code of Honor has nothing (intentionally) amusing about it, and is both racist and sexist to boot. So, I have to go with Code of Honor as the worst.

I guess that means I will save "The Outrageous Okona". While not a great episode, the B story of Data is something I enjoy. It may not have been the best way to go about his search for humor, but I applaud the effort. And since Data is my favorite character, I have to save it based on this.

"Code of Honor" is the 'winner' of the Most Disliked Episode of TNG.

Thank you all for playing.

I will start my favorite series, DEEP SPACE NINE, sometime tomorrow.
