Disappointed that Orville is going to a subscription service. Means that I will have to wait until the DVD release to see it.

Yeah, it's so much better to spend $30 on a DVD or Blu-ray box set than to spend $6 for one month of Hulu.Disappointed that Orville is going to a subscription service. Means that I will have to wait until the DVD release to see it.![]()
Care to summarize for those of us who don't have time to watch the video? For those of you still on the fence about the move to hulu:
"Late 2020" really means anytime between July and December anyway.Wait, they expect the show to be ready to go by late summer 2020. One of the things I took from that comic con announcement was it was going to be late 2020 that we see the third season. Based on this video, we could get it in August or September? That's pretty cool.

Hulu is better for the producers creatively, the distributors monetarily and the fans economically and aesthetically. Summarized.Care to summarize for those of us who don't have time to watch the video?
Yep and that way I own it instead of wasting my money on a subscription. Actually I am hoping I can get a season Pass on Itunes. But not sure it will be offered.Yeah, it's so much better to spend $30 on a DVD or Blu-ray box set than to spend $6 for one month of Hulu.
I forgot to mention that the second issue of Orville appeared. Like the first one, it very much captures the feel of the series, from the dialogue to the aesthetics, and the characters are drawn amazingly well. And it's a decent story, too. A nice little lost episode.
Does Hulu drop shows episode-by-episode on a weekly basis a la CBS-AA, or all at once like Netflix?
Isn't this usually at the discretion of the producer or writer? I know Hulu has released an entire season of a series like Handsmaid Tale, but they have also done the once a week thing as well. I hope the Orville is released once a week. I'm finding I still like the model more than binging the entire weekend. It gives boards like this and reddit more time to talk about each episode together. Then if you want to binge the season later, you can.
