I've noticed a few technological improvements to core things by this point in time.
The transporter effects are FAR faster then previously.
Originally, the transporter effect in the All Good Things alternate future timeline had transporters
~3 secs for (De-Materialization)
~1-4 secs for transport (Depending on distance)
~3 secs for (Re-Materialization)
Here in the "ST:P - SDCC trailer", the (Re-Materialization) phase happens REALLY fast
From all the shots I've seen and estimated with frame by frame calculations:
(Re-Materialization) could happen as fast as 1/3 sec (no general movement) to 1 sec (falling backwards towards the ground because you were kicked off a high set of stairs)
If the "Re-Materialization" is that fast, I'm assuming "De-Materialization" is about the same speed as well.
The whole process could potentially take < 1.0 sec from Beginning to End if the distance is short enough.
Floating Holographic screens seems to be the norm. I'm generally fine with this.
I'm not too fond of the new ComBadge design.
That alien like Beam Pistol that slid forward from the assailants arm was cool.
Picard's Phaser Pistol that he had at his Chateau was nice and elegant. Very "French" styled of the early 1900-1940's in terms of pistol design with swoopy curves.
What else did you notice tech wise?
