    How many swings of the bat are in an average baseball game?

    Believe it or not, some statistician, with way too much time on his hands, calculated that there are 67 swings per team per game on average = 134 total swings.

    IDK, the Cubs are probably above average what with most of the starters swinging at everything.

    Absolutely. Wrigley Field has to be the Swing-and-miss capital of MLB.

    Baez, Schwarber, Bryant and Russell alone are probably driving that average up by a statistically significant amount.

    Anyway, this should probably be in the general MLB thread.
