New Picard SDCC Trailer

I never would've thought I'd be so excited for 24th century Trek again, but here I am. OMG, those surprise guest appearances left me screaming at my screen with glee. I've already had positive feelings about the show but this trailer pulled me right in. This looks awesome.

 

Surprisingly Data looks more artificial now than he ever did on the series due to budget and the movies.

The yellow eyes make him look like Mystique lol

I'm not used to a Data with extra weight on him lol

Same here. I always wanted a post Nemesis Trek show. It will be great to see new stuff that happened after Nemesis.

 

She and Riker were confirmed at the panel, I got the threads mixed up.

 

Haven’t been this excited for years about something Star Trek!! This looks AWESOME!!! Borg, Jeri Ryan, Data, Troi... I am sure the Romulans will appear too... this looks just fantastic!!!

 

And Jonathan del Arco is in there somewhere, too.

 

Jeri Ryan still looks amazing.

Also getting a strong Firefly/Serenity vibe from the trailer. Not a criticism, just an observation.

 

Seven's implant looks a little different. Had to look at an old photo for comparison.

 

I am wondering if living Data is actually only in a dream? Given the line "I dont want the game to end"?

Also interesting sign "…has gone 5843 days without an assimilation…"

 

Literally the most amazing trailer I have seen for anything in my whole life! I feel like a kid again waiting for new episodes of voyager and TNG! This looks truly epic and special! Whoever is making this series, I truly believe that they care about what they are doing... spectacular!

It could be B-4, and even though he has all of Data's memories, is aware that he's still not Data.

 

Hype level maximum for me. The best part is that he seems to be acting like Picard from the show, not the action hero they tried to make him in the movies.

The appearance of the 'Captain Picard Day' poster from "The Pegasus" was interesting. I'm thinking Michelle Hurd's character was a child on board the Enterprise.

 

Yes - a lot more direct nods to TNG than DSC had to TOS (and yes I know it was a prequel but we had Mudd, Klingons, practically every element from 'The Cage')? And seemingly in such a small space of time

 

Jesus Christ, Surak and Kahless! Lower Decks as of now looks quite generic, but Jean-Luc might be finally heading a good ST show after a while!
