Spoilers Combined Star Trek SDCC Coverage thread (potential Disco S2 spoilers)

The Reliant was a ship he served on as an Ensign according to a deleted scene in 'Measure of a Man'. Said scene was included in the extended cut of the episode on the Blu-ray release.

So some time between 2327 (when he graduated from the Acadamy) and 2333 (the earliest we know he served on the Stargazer)

Thanks. So Picard was an ensign at the time. Hopefully if we see the Reliant, it will look more like the Stargazer than that ship in the certificate. Unless they've decided to 'visually reboot' the Stargazer as as well.

I want USS Reliant to be a Miranda class :)

Well they had a model of the Stargazer at the art exhibit, and it looked the same :nyah:
Along with the Ent-D and -E

Yes, I saw the model pics. Let's hope they're smart enough to actually show the Stargazer in that form with a CGI model if they have flashbacks to it.

The placard for the Enterprise-E says she's the newest ship with the name, which means either:
A) she hasn't been destroyed/decommissioned
b) she has, and they haven't built an -F yet
c) That's a spoiler so it wasn't mentioned

Production error! Production error!

They put a Burgundy in a Bordeaux bottle. Philistines. Also it is unlikely that a wine from La Barre (which is essentially Red Neck Village as far as the French are concerned) would get Gran Cru Classé status from the french AOC.

somehow I think viticulture could have changed in France in the next few hundred years. It certainly has in the previous 300.

That was a rush-job by Doug Drexler for a novel cover, essentially re-creating the ready room model from parts of the TMP-DE 1701 refit CG model. It's proportions are quite different to the Stargazer filming model.
I want Stargazer to have a Constellation saucer hull replacing the the one on the Cardenas class model. It will make people angry. It will be ugly as hell. It will be wonderful.

Shouldn't Worf be a general by now or at least Martok's Federation ambassador to the Klingon Empire?

He ended DS9 as Federation ambassador to the Empire (Nemesis ignored that, but it's easy enough to work around and if there's anything in the franchise worth ignoring, it's Nemesis).

That's not really a position that has a clear, obvious line in any particular direction. I actually thought his role in All Good Things (having lost his influence and been put out to pasture as a local governor) made a lot of sense, but he really could be all sorts of different things. I don't really see why he would rejoin the Klingon Fleet, though, not unless there was some new big war.
