  3. I had to google it... meat berries and fat, interesting.
The look of it made me think of something i had a lot of as a child,
Sausages Blood Black Pudding. .. i loved that.
Can't imagine that being on the dinner table much these days.

It's funny ever since I was a child and we played Cowboys and Indians, I knew that pemmican was a staple food of the Native Americans (that we called Indians when I was a kid, not out of disrespect but because it was what people did, remember that I live in France and that we only very rarely meet Native Americans here.)

When I was very little I used to play cowboys and Indians. It was a very popular game in the school, even though none of us knew what a cowboy was, or an Indian. We just ran around the playground, pointing fingers at each other and shouting bang, it wasn’t my favourite, but it was that or tig.

There's at least one packaged brand I'm aware of in the US. I don't think it's exactly like the traditional ways of making it, though.

Call me picky, but I once tasted "packaged" bouillabaisse and it was so far from the real McCoy that I am not particularly eager to taste packaged pemmican (unless someone reliable can assure me that it's very close to the traditional product).

  10. It wasn't many Native Americans around in Scandinavia either,
now i remember the 70's comic "silver arrow" the Kiowa-chief and his friends Falk and Moonbeam.
Everything i knew about Indians (as we also called them) as a kid i learned from that comic.
Månestråle or Moonbeam, was every boy's secret crush, she was like an indian version of Modesty Blaise.

Yep. Same game, but in the playing fields and streets of the mining villages in the Dearne Valley, it was tig.

I hope you can get some rest. I've had a terrible time trying to sleep lately.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up the Hallmark Ornaments for this Christmas. An unusual one caught my eye.

They have an ornament of Negan, from The Walking Dead.

Negan, with his bat. On your tree. Christmas time.

Why the fu--... Who would....I don't even....

I wonder. Do American hotels still have the bibles in the nightstands?

I thought It was funny a hell the first time I discovered it. Plus it's an abridged bible, they've removed some of the most gruesome passages. I didn't know they had a censoring committee for the bible...

At least people read the bibles.

Nobody ever uses hotel phones anymore. Why would they? The fees are beyond ridiculous, and the smartphone is universal now anyway.

Maybe it's used as an internal phone. You know, to call room service and stuff.

I've been thinking about the word "fandom". I can't help it, but it does kind of sound like a genre in erotic fan fiction.
