What are you watching???

Right now on the Science Channel - Mysteries Of Apollo - 2-hour documentary on the Apollo 13 mission. All new - very well done. It will re-air at 11:00 p.m. my time - midnight eastern time if you wish to watch it.

It was 45 years ago, what exactly can be new?

Hubby queued up a show on Netflix when I came in from doing some yard work. "Stargate Origins! It's Stargate AND it has Connor Trinneer--that guy you like. I thought you'd really like this!"

Oh, cool. That's nice. Let's watch!

An hour and a half later. "Well...that was... terrible."

Yes, it was. It really was.

Hey now I would call it terrible. It's bad and completely pointless, but terrible is too strong of a word.

If you want to see a terrible sci-fi movie, bit anything Netflix has made.

Tonight I'm watching the season finale of What We Do In the Shadows and the premiere of Archer: 1999

I've also started watching (and am five episodes in) Eastbound & Down. It's pretty funny and has a lot of recognizable guest stars in it. Really weird to think it's made by the same guys who did the last Halloween.

I am, of course, honoring the rigors of my own fucking putrid nature tonight.

The end of the world will wait until tomorrow.

Tonight, we watched Gentleman Jack ( which is a brilliant series; highly recommend it) and Agents of SHIELD.

Let's see ... this weekend:

* Watched Hulu's Catch-22 mini series. Very good, highly recommended.
* Deadwood: The Movie over on HBO. Another one I highly recommend if you're a Deadwood fan.
* Fear the Walking Dead season 5 premier on AMC: Fairly lackluster first episode, save for the last 15 min.
* Also blew through Good Omens on Amazon Prime. Excellent quirky little romp. Recommended

Q2

Catching up with the second episode of Agents of SHIELD (Season Six), then continuing with Lucifer Season Three.

The final episode of Chernobyl - "Vichnaya Pamyat" - "Eternal Memory". Harrowing to watch but it was an impressive dramatic reconstruction of the events that exposed the fundamental weaknesses of the Soviet system in apocalyptic fashion.

What an excellent series. The final episode was outstanding. At only 5 episodes, it really covered a lot of ground and did that very well. The writing, performances, casting, direction, cinematography, all top notch. Lies, covering lies with a helping dash of stupidity and ignorance ... all the right ingredients for a disaster of epic proportions.
