Things that frustrate us all

That's totally what I was hoping @Scribble was going to say. Because that would be AWESOME! :D

Hey, trust me (not in the 45-way), I've thought about it! It's just that the walls and corners in this house are so odd that there's not enough interior wall space on either side of any door other than the bathroom to do so! :wah:

[EDIT] Oh, and the "master" bedroom, but what good does that do me? ;)

Pocket doors -automated or not take up a lot of space and when they break require specialized equipment and knowledgeable repair techs.

Okay, I'ma start a home remodeling/redecorating thread soon, once I have a few more good images to share of my concept, but this image demonstrates what I was saying earlier; these dimensions just don't add up if anything is straight and square! :censored:

There has been a transporter accident, but at least Scotty found the doorknobs! :D

Quick and dirty modeling on the knobs, but I got to try out a plug-in script I hadn't used before, to great effect! :D

Oh, and I used one of the default materials that comes with my renderer, ever so slightly tweaked.

I bought a bag of apples from the grocery store a few weeks ago. The apples were beautiful on the outside but the insides were all half-rotten.
That's not the shop's fault. It is an infection that enters the fruit through the blossom. A lack of water, too much heat or soil too low in certain trace elements weaken the tree and then its immune system is unable to fight the infection as it would normally do.
After 2 drought years, our apples were in the same condition last year :( And the quinces, too.

Good news on the medical front: my GP gave me a new reference for the orthopedist. I hope she can fix my back. (Ah, the benefits of getting old. On the other hand: it's still way better than the alternative. If only the good die young, I'll gladly be evil )

Glad you can get it seen sooner than later. We should start an evil old ladies club. We’ve got booze but my bedtime is ten so we start drinking at three which really isn’t daydrinking because early bird specials start here at three.

Your husband sounds like a man-child.

Hubby and his friends have been gaming together for decades, and as they were/are all very poor, it was just a matter of having a space to play. No one cleaned up or provided food or drink, except water.

I don't roll like that. If you come over, I will at least tidy up, run the vacuum (oddly, some people don't appreciate being ankle- deep in cat hair), and put out some snacks.

In other news, hubby dropped me off at the airport on the way to work. Now I have a couple of hours to wait. Hobby Airport doesn't have nearly enough places to eat and it's all junk food. I'm sitting just feet away from a Baskin Robbins and a Dunkin' Donuts, and it is so tempting. I think my diet will get blown to smithereens before I even get on the plane.

Today's frustration: sites that post news articles with absolutely no indication of the date that the article was posted.
So if I'm looking up a certain topic and I find an article with no posting date that talks about an exciting development or event going on "this month," that's really not very helpful!

Kor

^ I hate that, too. I've been trying to do some research for a trip I hope hubby & I will take next year, but a lot of the articles don't have a date. I'll be halfway through it before I realize it's outdated.
