Is that a title? Google doesn't seem to know it.

Last night my wife and I went to see Claire Denis' first English language film, High Life. I wasn't quite certain what to expect, having never seen a Denis film before, and still don't know exactly what I make of it.

My other half definitely did not like it, though. "That movie was so fucking weird."

From "Total Recall": "Consider this a divorce."

    I don't know why but I love that line.:D

The best scene is the first encounter with the "wife." How often do you get to see Ah-nold get taken to the woodshed by a willowy blond?

    Go ahead, caller. I'm listening...
"Detective Pikachu". It was... alright. Entertaining enough for the budget theater prices where we saw it at. I'd say, go if you love Ryan Reynolds (and who doesn't?), because he's really the big highlight and I think he ad-libbed most of his lines. Go if you love Pokemon and have to catch them all, including on movie screens. ;) But otherwise, probably give it a pass at least until home video.

Hard to believe there were 14 years between the two movies.

The 2007 remake of "The Wizard of Gore". Mostly for Crispin Glover, Brad Dourif and Jeffrey Combs. It was ... weird.
