DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Oh, well, in that case....

The nerd community loved to bag on Affleck because of Daredevil, too.
And look how that turned out.
The problems I had with BvS and any other Affelck outing as batman had nothing to do with his performance in the role; it all had to do with the lousy scripts (same with Henry Cavill as Superman). The DCEUs issues DON'T lie in who they cast to play the characters.

That is why I am disappointed.
I am a little bit done with all the reboots or origin storys with young atractive actors and actresses.
I would like to see a movie with older heroes who are past their prime.

It’s not gonna happen. At least not in live action. Batman is one of the more successful franchises for Warners. Why would they sideline Batman?

Matt Reeves is a great director, Cloverfield was really good, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes are fucking amazing.

Ok, maybe that was unfair because Deadpool 1's director was also good, he just made shitty decisions. Then again, Cloverfield 1 is garbage, and those Planet of the Apes movies are written worse then the Tim Burton version (a magic virus apparently wipes out nuclear weapons and makes apes immune to bullets, based on the fact that the apes aren't all killed 10 minutes into the second movie and the whole trilogy totally disregards the ending to the original POTA movie about us blowing ourselves up).

But, even if he'd ever directed a movie that I thought was any good, casting fucking Edward as Batman is literally the worst superhero casting in my life time. I'd buy Nic Cage as Superman before I'd buy Mr. Sparkles as Batman. At least Nic cage has shown he was capable of acting pretty well, and even modern goofy Nic Cage is still a better actor then the guy who acts more like an emotionless android then Data in every performance.

So, yeah, Reeves isn't very good at directing based on his track record anyway, but if this casting ends up happening he'll prove he's either a complete moron or actively hates Batman, and in either case should never be allowed near a superhero movie.

Satire at it's best.

Batman / Michael Keaton (Mr. Mom?)
Wolverine / Hugh Jackman (he's too tall to be Wolverine)
Daredevil / Ben Affleck (not the guy from Armaggeddon, he can't act)
Superman / Brandon Routh (he looks more like Superboy, plus he can't act)
Joker / Heath Ledger (not the guy from A Knight's Tale, he's way too pretty/can't act)
Iron Man / Robert Downey Jr. (that guy who did all those drugs? Nah, he's too washed up)
Thor / Chris Hemsworth (Kirk's father? He's way too skinny)
Captain America / Chris Evans (The Human Torch?! God, no!)
Batman / Ben Affleck (Dude, remember Daredevil?)
Wonder Woman / Gal Gadot (She's way too skinny / Her boobs are too small / She can't act)
Aquaman / Jason Momoa (WTF?)
Shazam / Zachery Levi (He's way too skinny / He can't act)
Batman / Robert Pattinson ...

Pretty much every Batman casting announcement has been divisive, that I recall. The one announcement I remember being most welcomed - with the possible exception of Bale - was that of George Clooney. And we all know how that turned out.

I’ve only seen RP in whatever Harry Potter movie he was in but I’ve heard that he was good in post-Twilight films but I’m willing to give him a chance.

Don't agree about Cloverfield but both Dawn of and War for the Planet of the Apes are great movies.
Keaton was an awful Batman.
Yeah....he was a better Bruce Wayne than Batman but a better Batman over either Kilmer or Clooney.

Clooney could have been great with a real script, but he was awful for campy Batman.
