Agree. I don't see the necessity of explain every single detail in the SW universe, with Solo they went too far. They could explore something different and not related with the characters that we already know. Maybe the Rian Johnson trilogy will be about something completely different. After ep.IX, this trilogy is what I'm more excited for.
I don't know, it reminded me of one of those one-off EU novels. They didn't add much, but they weren't a waste of time.
They even mentioned it was still happening at SWCC. Based on a recent interview, Johnson is finishing a crime film he’s been working on and when it’s done will go start work on his Star Wars trilogy. It may be the same project the writers for Game of Thrones have talked about. It’s set in the Old Republic era. It being canceled is a sad fantasy. One I can’t wait to see shattered.
It's not happening. It'll be a loooooong time until we see star wars on the big screen again. Disney's plan was to milk the franchise until diminishing returns begin to be apparent. Unfortunately that happened way earlier than anyone expected.
A source would be nice for such a thing. And angry fanboy YouTube videos do not count. I do believe we’re getting a few years off from Star Wars on the big screen post-TRoS, but i don’t believe the break will be, um, “loooooong.” The Johnson and GoT guys series are still in the wings with nothing being announced otherwise. But one failure (in Solo NOT TLJ) does not indicate a huge feeling of dread on Disney’s part. Despite what some fans might believe. I think the initial plan was very ambitious. Scaling it back to a movie every few years isn’t a bad thing. It gives them a little time to breathe.
The source is my brain and it's ability to read between the lines. Disney has left clues to this decision all over the place.
The sequel trilogy already had some pre-production started when Disney took over. Giving Johnson some time to start from scratch will take a bit. If it was canceled we would’ve heard about it, like that Boba Fett movie. But Lucasfilm has been consistent in saying it was coming, the haters just don’t want it to be and just keep insisting they’re right without any proof. But I do have proof. More proof. [citation needed] Because Kennedy, the President of Lucasfilm, is just saying we won’t have movies in 2020 and 2021. A bit shorter than a decade from now. My source is the people actually making the movies. I think they know a bit more than your brain.
Don't be DigificWriter. These people are paid to lie to us. Nothing they say has any meaning whatsoever.
So everyone else is lying, but we should trust you? It’s not like Disney has stockholders they have to answer to and them lying about a property they bought for billions and then spent about a billion to build two of the most detailed theme parks in history with plans to expand them to their other parks which would be threatened by no future projects to keep up interest, guests and profits. Yeah, this is totally legit and reasonable.
Sadly most conspiracy theories centered around entertainment franchises seem to forget that the companies producing these franchises have a larger fiduciary responsibility above those conspiracy theorists.
I’m aware of that, but that doesn’t mean I trust your judgment. Especially when I have no reason to or any solid evidence to back you up and you’ve made it clear you’re only focused on finding flaws. That shows you have a clear bias and may be seeing things that aren’t there.
