Shuri will probably end up helping Stark Industries (which may end up with a Wakandan branch) given the post second-snap chaos.

By the way, hers is an interesting position. Wouldn't she be the one who ruled in Wakanda for 5 years? Is she supposed to step down again after T'Challa's return?

TBH, I don't actually remember much about the Wakandan rules of succession, though... but the dilemma would interest me.

Shuri got dusted too. It was confirmed with those posters few weeks before the release.

Both T'Challa and Shuri where dusted, they've returned only now in 2023. So she's still 17? or so but there's bound to be a program for gifted youth she can pass in like a week and be programming FRIDAY's replacement.

We’ve already seen hints of this. Hawkeye is training his daughter and she already shows promise. Pepper had her own suit and their daughter probably inherited Tony’s intelligence and could grow up to follow in her father’s footsteps. The mantle of Captain America has been passed to Sam and one day he’ll pass it on. The person may change or die, but the legacy will live on.

Personally, I'm holding out hope for Riri Williams/Ironheart rather than Tony's daughter. I think she's a great character and I love her mentor relationship with Pepper/Rescue. Morgan would be the easier inroad, though.

Shuri was dusted. Wakanda was probably ruled by either Ramonda or M'Baku.

Ah, okay, didn't know that Shuri was dusted as well. It's unfortunate.

But actually doesn't solve the problem, just exchange her for the interim-ruler (unless it's mom). But I guess that's what Black Panther 2's for. *g*

Throughout the film we saw team ups featuring a wide variety of characters from a wide variety of demographics including rock people and scissor handed people. We even saw Chiaturi fighting alongside Outlanders. The final battle was a massive mixture of All Teh Heroes with even a brief glimpse of Howard the Duck.

None of that phased anyone. Why would the all female team protecting the StarkGaunlet bother anyone

There’s been innumerable questions about how character X or Y is now impacted by the passage of time and/or dusting. I am sure Marvel will spend a great deal of time carefully answering those questions to our satisfaction. Surely a comic book based adventure won’t hand-wave away important time travel/parallel universe issues!

Then it's not a recast by definition. It's a new character, which no one has a problem with.

Really, no one has a problem with? If it happened several here have already demonstrated they would. Wait until Anthony Mackie goes from The Falcon to Captain America (some here will take it as a liberal assault upon their delicate sensibilities). Absolutely no one got riled up when Thor was transformed into a woman.

I think it's sad people would use a Superhero/heroine movie for role models. I adore him but it has a talking raccoon in it! It's entertainment pure and simple not a reflection of reality.
Then all the super/sci fi/horror/ fantasy movies of the future can have a cast that is 100% female where males never existed. A global Wonder woman planet called Earth.

On the contrary, it's called equality, something you are having issues with, given your hate toward white males. You don't want equality--you want to punish white males for some reason.

Loved Black Panther--it was just a heroic movie, not a movie about race. Loved Wonder Woman--a heroic movie, not a movie about gender. The heroes just happen to be created that way and it's great.

It's when writers and fans have a chip on their shoulder that it should be called out. Marvel for the most part doesn't do that. It did in that one shot which was clearly patronizing to those who only see gender and think that girls can only find other girls heroic and need a scene like that.

Black Panther wasn't a movie about race?

Wonder Woman wasn't a movie about gender?

Entertainment and fandom is prejudiced against white males?

Dear God in Heaven.

If Marvel want's to bring back Steve and Chris Evans is up for it, they have a way already built into the events in Endgame.
Recreate Bruce's mistakes with Scott when he was testing the time travel method.
They just have to make sure they don't make him older

New York times interview with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen mcfeely. It didn't answoer all my questions, but it covers a lot of the ground we've been discussing here. For instance, there was discussion as to whether the all woman hero shot was pandering or not, but they decided that the scene was just too fun to cut. They briefly touch upon whether or not they should have included characters from the Netflix shows, and the timing of this movie and the legalities of inserting X-Men references.
