And here was me thinking they believed Bad Robot was Section 31, secretly pulling the strings behind Secret Hideout. All at the behest of JJ Abrams.
Actually, the way Section 31 was introduced in DS9 was brilliant. We really had no idea if it was a legitimate organization or if Sloane was just bullshitting everyone. It wasn’t until later that it turned out to be legit that it turned into an overused trope, like time travel and the Borg. And now we’re getting a whole series about them. I can’t think of any idea I like less, unless they’re going to add time travel and the Borg to the Section 31 show.
Coincidence! The actual premise of the Georgiou Section 31 series is that she is a time travelling Borg.

Like many people on Youtube, they're a bunch of assholes who are unfortunately smart enough to know that they can make a YT channel and spout ridiculous shit with no sources to back it up, all the while making a profit off of the true internet idiots who believe their BS and click on their links and give them instant money.
They only exist because other people help them exist. If they weren't making any money, you'd never hear a peep out of them.

A group of people running a YouTube channel that looks at TV and film production claiming to have 'sources' and 'insider information' which seem really to be guesswork such as the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot and Star Trek Beyond not being financially profitable enough to secure sequels.
Well, I never found the Georgiou series appealing in the first place, so there wasn't any impact in digging deeper.
It would not have been in my top ten of choices for a Trek show but I am at least intrigued enough to try it out. This comes on the heals of my interest in Mirror Universe novels, comics and the Section 31 books. So it is something I am more familiar with than perhaps other members of the fandom.
However, the Borg would push me right out.
I'm afraid those things don't exist anymore. I do though have REAL news. The Picard show is going to be the first Trek show filmed partially in space. Using the built spaceship using technology from the downed UFO in Roswell that hasn't been used since it shuttled Neil Armstrong,Kubrick,film crew etc up to the moon in 67 so they could get better production values for the fake moon landing scam, I hear we are going to see Picard visiting the burial grounds of the first Picard who went to the moon and then Romulan pirates attacks or something. Should be exciting to see. For the first time ever we will see real space stuff on Trek.

I agree, but I think that the section 31 series is coming either way. At least I am sure that this Picard spoiler is fake. They won't make two series at the same time about the same stupid organization.

It's going to be the animated "Hogan's Heroes" of our time with the captain being a Cornell Klink type and the crew always screwing up his dastardly plans.

Midnight's Edge have really been muckraking lately. They seemed to suck in a lot of Star Trek fans with their (fairly accurate) news about ST4 being shelved (they were mostly just repeating other sources), and now they're making up controversial shit to keep their new 'fans' interested.

From what I gather here, their "news" is just some version of clickbait. If they start doing the hard work of actual, established fan sites, I might pay attention to them, but probably not because trekmovie, trekcore, and this site mostly have me covered.
