Sorry to hear that starbuck, we'd love to have ya back! We need more good people to liven up our fleet channel and get people talking again. We're all good Trek loving folks looking to have fun and there is loads of new content! Speaking of lockboxes. I just won a T5 ship from the infinity boxes while trying to rack up some lobi for the Walker class! Don't know if I want a ship in there as there are a few or if I'll sell it. Tell ya what... I would be willing to put it up for a fleet prize for a fleet member. If there is interest speak up and let me know. If anyone else wants to throw a spare duplicate or unused/unopened ship into the pile that would be great too! It could be based on fleet participation. Give me your suggestions!

I know how you feel, but think yourself lucky, i bought a LTS when it was run by Atari and now it seems the game has quietly incorporated the worst of mobile gaming grind and time sinks, and you could not pay me to play a free mobile game, and it is no longer the game i bought a LTS to play all those years ago, sad to see it go down this route.

I got it‘s worth out of it over 5 years and more.
If I ever get bored I can just return to it however long the servers keep running (with enough of accumulated stipend to buy whatever the current ship hotness is at the time).
But I don’t have the time anymore to get grinding ever again.

Then don't grind. You're not required to do it.
I've been playing since launch with an LTS and only have like 3 Reps maxed.
I come back whenever there is new missions, and events (if reward interests me)

I don't know if this game would work in VR, i mean Bridge Crew gets ST vr perfectly, but has none of the RPG mechanics that STO, so what we would need was a game that melds the BC visuals and STO RPG mechanics......that i think would be quite impressive ST game, but it is just a shame Ubisoft got the Trek licence as they made the mistake of making it VR only, then making it non vr for all, but by then they had already pushed the game off most peoples radar with it being released as VR only.....it is a good game with plenty of potential to be a great game, hell they could add the mechanics of the old Activision game Bridge Commander and make Bridge Crew a 100 times better, and i bet way more popular.

It is most likely the official announcement of 'Rise of Discovery' and its release date, which is the next big update coming out in May according to the roadmap.
All we know right now is that it will have story mission(s) connected to Commander Landry, Priors World and the USS Buran. The TFO released last week is sort of a prequel to this story.
According to one of the DSC Season 1 writers, Prime Landry was XO of the USS Buran, so we're probably going to find out how she survived Lorca blowing it up.

Many have know it's was coming so you don't find surprise rippling thru the player base, or those of of that play daily. I've like to hear prime Lorca survived since chances are slim it will ever be address on screen again. Some new episodes will be nice, new content is always welcome. I just wonder how long it will take them to add Discovery's version of the Enterprise. It should have a droid repair console, a console where the ship survives a devastating blow/critical hit wit the console "Admirals sacrifice". 
The player base wants it to be a C-store ship purchasable with Zen but there is no chance. It will be in a gamble box and sell for billions on the exchange... so frustrating! But the are in it for the money and boy will they be swimming in it!
On another note fleet [progress has ground to a halt as the only need at this time is dilithium and doffs. I know it's precious and sorry needed by all but the fleet news to progress even if slowly. Fleet Senior Adjunct Intrinsical was generous enough to push K-13 to the finish line with a large dilithium donation which the fleet very much thank him for and I do wish wish more fleet member would stop by the forum and thank him.
As Fleet Admiral I'm asking everyone to donate dilithium and doffs so we can make progress, as our fleet has ground to a halt. If we call give a little it will go a long ways. 1 or 2 thousand dilithium can be made in just a few minutes and donated. I just purchased 2 whited science doffs off the exchange 50k ec. each and donated them. If only half of us do this it wold be a significant help. 2 thousand dilithium can be made doing tfo's (task force operations) or doff missions, again if at least only half of us donate this our fleet will begin to move forward again.
